just updated my version of tsw2 from ps4 classic version to ps5 classic version, downloaded all Free DLCs and Great Western Express is giving me an error CE-107880-4 something went wrong, (other DLCs downloaded and installed succesfuly) also I am unable to log in into my Dovetail account in game, says something about internet connection problem however my ps5 is connected to the internet
There's definitely something wrong with GWE but that's the only DLC that won't download. Not sure why DTL is down but again, others here have reported the same issues.
I’d just download the core TSW2 and if you have it, Boston Sprinter for now. The 4.26 versions of the preserved collection are not out yet, they’re coming out later today. Perhaps Dovetail Live needs someone to activate it on the next gen consoles. Try again around midday and see if it works then. In fairness, this isn't all on DTG, Sony's upgrade path from PS4 to PS5 just isn't as smart as on the green corner. It's getting better but, by default, PS5 will try to update the PS4 version rather than prompt you to upgrade to the PS5 one. Of course, once you've actually managed to cancel the PS4 update and select the PS5 upgrade, it then becomes a wee bit convoluted to delete the PS4 version if you need to save disk space (and don't care about your liveries, progress, etc.) Once that's done, though, the PS5 version works pretty well. Dovetail Live seems to be down at the moment (so I'm reluctant to do too much without knowing what the Mastery requirements are) and can't download GWE but other than that (although performance could be a bit better - walking about on platforms on the Boston Sprinter route, I've seen sub 30 fps!!)
This is also due to Dovetail using higher resolution textures for newer consoles which require you to redownload all DLC routes and locos that contain these higher resolution textures. Sony as I can see has 2 versions of the DLCs on their store which I'm finding easiest to access with the ps app on my phone. When you are on the main game page for Train Sim World 2 it says PS4 | Standard Edition but there is also another Standard Edition when you click there, and that one contains the routes for PS5. You will need to go to the addons and reactivate them manually (should be free for any previously purchased DLC) and then download and should be available in your game once downloaded. If you can't see them after downloading, restart the game by quitting it from the menu and relaunching it.
