Ps4 Fps On Boston Sprinter

Is anyone else getting very low FPS on the new route, it seems to be the passengers causing it.

 

Those extra passengers and graphics will cause issues with FPS. No way round it.

 

Yeah I was worried about the performance when it was announced and it seems like the old gen consoles have been stretched a little too far.

 

even on ps5 at least on the route introducton fps is between 25/35

 

How does it run on the ps5 in service mode ?

 

watchin Matt last night, he said that PS5 FPS may take a hit, so running the PS4 version on PS5 would win you FPS albeit at expense of texture quality

 

If any of you have a PS4 Pro, are you running the HD or 4K setting? I use HD because I want the frame rate as smooth as possible, if it's still really clunky after that I'd be disappointed.

 

Bad news.
PS4 is unsupported in facts.

 

Definitely better than in the scenarios/training modes, in Boston and Providence you see around 30-40 FPS then 50-60 everywhere else.

 

Yeah the two end stations are very FPS thirsty, on the old gen consoles during the rush hour it’s very poor.

 

i just played the introduction and the fp40 introduction, in the fp40 introdution run a little better between 60 and 40 but less npcs, with a lot of npcs the fps could drop alot more i think.

 

So I should be buy Rush Hour update with my PS4 base or it's unplayable?

 

At first it seemed unplayable as the intro was really struggling for FPS, but after playing for a few hours it seems to be not too bad when it’s not crazy busy

 

yeah it seems that Boston at the peak times can have a big dip in performance.

 

So no rush hour experiance with DLC...

 

Thanks, I have planned 20/25fps in Boston station with a lot of people but not in every small station or during the journey.
Good, tomorrow I proceed to buy the season pass.

 

I’m running a pretty old PS4 so it makes sense that it’s struggling a little bit with all the extra passengers.
