Hiya, Yes, this was a community request for improvements to the timetable. https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/east-coastway-improvements.39028/ https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/preserved-collection-east-coastway-improvements.38898/
And finally your teams work gets to be on full display. Love the PIS boards on ECW as well. And the updates your team have done across the board. I always say the Pres Crew is the most underappreciated team because they do all this hard work and never reap any praise because of all the delays in releasing. It's like you guys always get stuck on the back burner and people don't get to see the work or be able to give praise. So please give your team a big thank you for all their hard work, and if I was in England I'd buy you all an Energy drink!
Hi Adam, it's good to see the Preservation Crew is taking feedback into consideration when focusing on routes. In this case however, the change has been met with mixed opinions and I personally am not a fan of it. Despite the change adding realism it also detracts from the route by removing some variety and making the route seem less busy. All drivable trains now being formed of 4 cars makes the route feel more monotone, especially at Brighton where a mix of 4 and 12 car trains without any 8 car ones looks off. Having stopping trains that serve a small coastal branch be the same length as Semi-Fast trains connecting large cities also doesn't feel right. It is also not possible to drive 8 car trains anymore, which further detracts from the route. So in short I suggest you either revert that change at the cost of realism or create a second service mode identical to the first one but with 8 car trains on the Brighton - Hastings/Ore services. Both would come with advantages and disadvantages but I feel like leaving all trains at 4 cars would displease a lot of people. The two threads you linked speak for a reasonably large amount of the community, but not for more than half if I were to estimate.
