Hi Guys it's me Driverwoods#1787 asking a question on how to set up Q261.
My question is this has anyone here operated Q261 autorack service Baltimore to Connellsville Pennsylvania service 12:30 out of Cumberland, MD it's the continuation of X792 12:15. Played that service once using AC4400CW X792 which was the rear unit Front locomotive was SD40-2 like the two SD40-2s which sometimes spawn and I caused a wheelslip during summer rain conditions due to notch 1-8 acceleration.
On the other hand if you spawn at foot around 12:25 from the locomotive shed and walk up to the locomotive which takes 2 minutes you're going to run out this morning to set up the locomotives mine had a AC4400CW YN2 paint front and Back. Does anyone here know how to set up the 4 locomotives in DPU? That's broken down as Q261 SD40-2 GP38-2 or AC4400CW X792 rear SD40-2 AC4400CW GP38-2.

Sorry your post is kind of hard to read. Are you just asking how to configure the 4 locos on the Q261 service? If so, all you have to do is configure the lead loco. Set up the brakes on the computer screen as per the AC4400 tutorial, turn the generator field switch on, then click the "DISP" button on the radio above the windshield. The 2 rear locos should respond to your inputs.

So that's for the AC4400CW leading unit. I just got on 5-10 minutes ago and these pictures should help you for the first part of my post. The weather is a September-November Rainstorm

It's the same thing for the SD40, just without the computer screen. Cut in the brakes, set the MU valve to "lead or dead" and press "DISP" on the radio on top of the control stand. Do the SD40-2 training module if you aren't sure what I'm talking about.
