It is a german ESig (Entrance Signal) with a ZS3 (Speed Limit Signal), a VSig (Signal showing the next aspect) and a ZS1 (Ersatzsignal)
Following Rapid Transit, this is certainly an opportunity to improve German content in TSW. Whilst I'm not demanding, I would like to see improvement to the PZB system in this route and more than one type of locomotive, a major drawback of Rapid Transit. It would also be good to see some freight in this route, as both the UK and USA have freight in TSW whereas Germany doesn't.
Whilst a new German route is most welcome, I would really like DTG to upgrade the Rapid Transit Route to make it more enjoyable and immersive.
TrainSim-Luke : will the pylons for the overhead wires be fixed in Rapid Transit like we can see on this picture? Right now they have a strange glossy surface and totally wrong color. And a PZB fix? Its now a half year after the DLC release and still no fix or any information about when we see a fix.
Based on today's announcement, this looks like another German route, but again with passenger traffic only. As the announcement notes, Ruhr-Sieg was originally a freight line -- yet here we go again without freight. I my surmise is incorrect, I apologize; if I have guessed correctly, however, I will not buy another passenger-only route.
LastTrainToClarksville : Freight is included, BR185 with freight wagons and BR143 for passenger services.
Off topic but I do hope we see an editor or an update for the P.A and C.I.S. New DLC’s are nice but it’s about time we see some older routes get some attention. The signalling is still broken in a lot of routes.
Can we get some context on the length of the route? Will be very disappointing if passenger services only span the length of 2 stops like it is with NEC New York.
It's shorter than the TS version, I do know that. Shame as the one of the selling points of TSW was that it would allow longer routes. Sadly, DTG have opted to shorten its DLC releases which makes already sterile drives even less immersive.
Jeez, so many complaints here. Im sure DTG dont just sit there do nothing and laughs at people's whinge. There maybe lack of communication, but any new news and update from DTG is huge to me. Cant please everyone, and dont compare it with TS as they've been in the game for almost 10 years.
Its a Forum its what people do Minimum I for one am thrilled with more German content, but there are those who wont be happy until X route or X steam engine is released conversely, I wont care about the steam side of the content when it comes along … difference is though, I wont be downvoting or writing a negative steam review because its not the content I enjoy or wanted.
Yeah i agree. But every topic ive seen becomes repetitive with the same complaints. Im ok if only on a specific topic but not like this particular one. Good news from DTG became an off topic discussion. And DTG surely reading all those complaints already.
With malice toward none, I'm wondering whether I've missed a release date prediction from DTG? Signed, He who can't see freight cars.
Don’t worry, it doesn’t seem like there is even an estimate of a release date yet. Multiple weeks at the very least, as more news is supposedly going to be coming in the ‘coming weeks’ which is really vague for just news!
LastTrainToClarksville There's been no official announcement of a release date yet. Also we showed off the freight wagons for RSN in this article: https://live.dovetailgames.com/live/live/articles/article/discover-extreme-flexibility
Thanks for the information and the link, Luke. Of course, the four types of freight wagons and the words " ... as a result the DB BR 185.2s have been a regular visitor to the railway’s yards, sidings ..." lead me to hope for shunting activities: are they a possibility for this DLC? I've greatly appreciated the switching sessions made available for the NEC and hope for more of the same.
The BR185 is not for shunting, I doubt we will see shunting activities like in NEC. More a GWE drive from A to B.
Would be nice to have the new rolling stock on the S-Bahn route as well, because that one is very boring.
Unfortunately Leipzig HBF and many freight yards along the route were not modelled in Rapid Transit so that restricts the locomotives/rolling stock which could be added to RT.
If you manage togo "out of bounds"in the route you can see thast they did start on Leipzig Hbf. There are also a number of sidings that cannot be reached in the current version
