If you are a train buff who loves Disney than there is no doubt that you LOVE the Disneyland Railroad. Ever since 1955 The Disneyland Railroad has served the Disney parks from the original park in Anaheim to the most modern one in Hong Kong, and there is no doubt that this route that has captured the wonder of people around the world, and belongs on train sim. Engine Roster From Disneyland California
cool, but I think the designers should go for something bigger. But I do see what your talking about.
I think having small scale locomotives in a game mostly about full scale train is cool, classy and an interesting change of pace. Another interesting one to model would be the Romney, Hyte and Dymchurch railway - the smallest (track gauge wise) railway that runs actual, serious, revenue-earning timetabled trains.
I like it but I would just like for someone to do Disneyland railroad since I really like it but the RHDR seems like a really great idea too!
The Disneyland routes are mostly a circle which you potter round at around 20mph until you get back to the beginning. So having been around the loop what else can you do? There is not much playability in this idea. Peter
I get what your saying but the reason that I want this is because of the showmanship. While yes I agree with you about the circle places like euro Disneyland and Disneyland California have routes that are so full of showmanship that It still gives a sense of interest.
also just as an addition there is also the train into the parks in Hong Kong that could be added with the main train.
Whatever location is chosen I’m sure that the license fee that Disney would demand (if they would agree) would ensure that this would be the most expensive piece of TS DLC ever.
well, these are real locomotives, water, fire start-up, just about everything a steam engine does/has
Some locations seem to have fake steam locomotives. Also, a loop with 20mph running isn't the most replayable thing.
So if you get a loco and place it on the Acadamy track and run it round at 20mph a few times won't you get bored?
I get what you say but I am more of a person that "ignores" the limits when I run to test the speed. And I also try and use my imagination in running lines to keep it interesting.
I cannot express how much I want this. Seriously, DTG, I'd cough up £30+ for a baseline pack and then continue to shell out for more rolling stock. The ability to make a decent garden/minimum gauge railway for my own routes is something I've been pining after for months.
Made a full route suggestion out of the RH&D, it's here if you want to take a look. https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/romney-hythe-and-dymchurch-15in-gauge-light-railway.5499/
