As the title says, are there any tweaks I can do to the engine.ini to stop the smaller shrubs & foliage suddenly popping in on the Boston - Providence route, some things don't spawn until I'm pretty much level with it. Tia
Try r.MaterialQualityLevel=0 it does have a side effect of rendering ballast as a flat texture instead of the default render. It depends if you prefer longer distance ground foliage over lower detail ballast. I am, since the update getting a lot of flickering on distant (low res) trees. I'm not sure if there's anything to fix that other than increasing the foliage.LODDistanceScale scale?
This is the only engine.ini tweak I'm using as of the new update. The game is really well optimized at this point, both in terms of performance and LODs being fairly aggressive, at least on ultra (except for foliage, which is why I have that set at a value of 2)
That's too hard of a setting on routes packed with foliage like Clinchfield. Unless of course you don't mind low FPS. I try to keep it 60fps bare minimum.
Does anyone else get flickering / z fighting on the low LOD trees in the distance though? I've got a RTX gfx card with latest Geforce drivers installed.
