PC Mbta Coach Steps Not Working Correctly At Stations With Low Platforms

Something I noticed this afternoon when doing a couple of runs from Providence to Boston. When stopping at some stations with low platforms the steps aren't lowering as they should.

As can be seen in the last picture the steps on the cabcar operate as they should but the rest of the train acts as though it was at a high platform.
