I’m sure this is apples to oranges but here goes. I think it was sometime last year when Rockstar updated Red Dead 2 online and pretty much broke it. Things were so out of whack that people made YouTube videos about the crazy things happening in the game. After about three days Rockstar rolled back the update and everything went back to normal. I would love it if we could download our previous working version of the game while Dovetail sorts this out but I’m not sure it could be done. Maybe previous versions should be kept active and ready to download in the future in case this happens again. I’m in the US and it’s still broken here. I did all of the deleting and reinstalling and no luck. I can play those six or so routes now which do show up without the game crashing but that is all. Regular PS4 here. I’m waiting patiently because that all I can do. I’m also waiting to buy the newest dlc till this gets sorted out. I was really excited about the new route….
Oh I remember that update for red dead online last year. Absolute meme. Worst 'patch' update of a game I've ever seen especially from a company that size. I do agree there should be a back up save to rollback on for tsw 2. I think it may be easier to work on fixing the issues on top of the update. I'm not sure really but maybe rolling it back is not a good idea because I'd assume they'd have to do it for everyone which would probably cause more issues but does make sense.
surely they can arrange a roll back for just ps4 users. it uses different servers for the updates after all.
The frame rate is awful, so can see it drawing the scenery about 30 sleepers in front of the train, but there are so many things that need addressing, why does the torch work better in the light than in the dark? why do rails become brighter if you look down towards them? has the driver got a restricted point of vision depending on where he (I presume it's a he, always seems to be when you chose to walk around.) looks. That said there are numerous ridiculous little niggling errors in this game, should we mention lack of any brightness controls? controls that work and operate nothing or stupid things like cab heaters and hot plates to cook food, whilst others that you'd expect to work like setting the destination on a train, especially when you can actually turn the lights on to light up said destination on the front of the train, but can't set the destination in it, the list is absolutely endless.
