Firstly I'd like to thank the preservation crew for their fantastic job on WSR, it feels so much more realistic now with buts if random rolling stock dotted around.
So with the level crossings with animated gates, once the train has cleared the crossing the gates move and the lights stop within a few seconds. However on the crossings with no gates but have the lights and alarm, it doesn't stop when the train goes past.

I thought I'd go back and rediscover WSR after the next gen update but on my first run I got stuck at a level crossing - the gates remained closed for about 15 minutes while I waited impatiently and eventually I lost patience and quit. Is this a known issue?

I assume these are the swing gates at Blue Anchor. I haven't encountered this issue which direction were you traveling?

Did you try to force the gate? Something happened? Derailment, scenario failed?

Yep, I think that's the one. I was headed towards Minehead.

There's a signal immediately before the crossing gates and it was stuck on red, so if I'd tried to ram the gate I would have got a "Scenario Failed" outcome.

Was there was another train in the block between Blue Anchor and Minehead?

There was initially another train in the block between Blue Anchor and Minehead. The crossing gates then opened to let that train through, while the signal on my side (obviously) remained red. Once the other train had passed, the gates closed again and remained closed, and the signal remained red despite the absence of another train anywhere near Blue Anchor.

I'd put this in the tech reports category for Adam's team to see
