After today's update to correct the language issue, I can't even get into the game. As soon as the opening screen comes up it goes back to the desktop with the UE error box up. Ticket submitted.
If you go back to the main menu before exiting you dont get this crash, it only happens when you exit from the pause screen. Either way the crash doesnt actually cause any issues with game play the next time around, guess the biggest issue is that Epic will be unindated with crash reports being submitted to them, but guess they will be able to data mine from them so they probably arent too fussed.
I’m actually getting the UE crash exiting from the main menu as well. Haven’t checked since today’s update though.
I'd report that if its still the case as from Tuesday live stream Matt said based on player feedback the crash on exit was only from the issue screen. If you are seeing different then it needs flagging
Yeah, I saw that on the stream as well. I just updated, then briefly ran the game and exited from the main. It closed normally this time so maybe last night was just a random anomaly. I'll keep an eye on it. Thanks for the advice
Just to follow up; sure enough after running Amtrak #171 to Providence, I got the UE crash exiting from the main menu. So it's a thing, but again, has no effect on actual game play.
It definitely happens on the main menu as well. I initially reported that it was just the pause menu but had to retract it, when the very next exit crashed. It’s more rare from the main menu, but it certainly happens.
Yesterday I had 2 crashes. One on Boston and the other on HRR, in fairly long scenarios (over 80mn). Crash almost at the end of the game
I had the game freeze while on a Boston timetable (Boston to Providence around 9am). CTRL+ALT+DEL wouldn't even let me shut it down, I had to do an account log out to force close all my work/windows. These crashes are so random, it's going to make narrowing down the cause very difficult.
I'm not having any crashes at any stage of the game. This is such a mystery. What separates those who are from those who aren't getting these crashes? It seems so random. We need to find the cause. We don't want to solve the PS4 issue only to have another one pop up. For what it's worth, I have all dlc's, no mods, no engine "inis" and I did not download anything from EGS. Also, my game has its own exclusive drive, separate from the Windows OS. None of this may matter. Just trying to help.
I got crashes almost everytime I use the F40PH-3C. Using it in scenario planner on other routes leads to crashes on these routes, too. The only ride I could complete was a short run on GWE Paddington to Hayes. All other rides I have done with it, I could not complete due to a crash. Tried so far on Boston, HMA, RRO, LGV and NTP. No mods/engine.ini tweaks.
Odd all the things going on. I initially had texture issues but it was down to me deleting my ini settings file so the new update could create a fresh one I never had the unreal logger upon exiting the game What i get is constant crashes in F40 lead services when i get anywhere between south station to back bay (heavy stutters, freezes, then crashes) and sometimes all the way up to about reading jct. Only F40, seems to happen randomly Also seems to occur when the atc/acses is changing Post script: nvidia users up to date w drivers? Im still on 471.41.... i know the latest one 471.68 caused a lot of issues in general w gaming performance
Interesting because I happen to always pick the F40 too. I'll run the same timetables with the other two trains and see how I get on.
I was driving the F40PH 2CAT on PC with multiple crashes the last two nights. I chalked the first night up to mods I had installed even though all were 4.26 compatible. Last night, with all mods deactivated and a clean Engine ini file, I crashed about an hour into the run. BTW, all runs were service 279F which is a really good one - when you don’t crash.
Made a thread about this here https://forums.dovetailgames.com/th...outh-san-francisco-station.44254/#post-364571 I didn't notice that these crashes were happening with the F40 as well, I assumed it was something to do with the route, however with what others are saying, it would make sense.
Yes, I've had three crashes with the Peninsular Corridor, two at exactly the same location, approaching the first stop and one just now literally just as I was about to arrive in San Jose, kind of frustrating to have it so near the end! But, I also managed to do another timetable run to the one that crashed twice and it went fine, and todays was the same run but with a different locomotive. Game just vanishes and the automated crash response is there, which I sent.
I have actually been running CRR for the past 3 weeks so pre and post update. I am getting the UE crash logger now regardless of whether I exit from a save or from the main screen.
