Post-fix Add-ons Missing (27th August)

Fair enough but be aware this disaster is far from fixed if players haven’t got everything they own and paid for / bought in good faith back!

If your interest is mainly in the UK routes and locos and your in the UK I’d say upgrade now and enjoy the benefits of the new upgrade features that enhance TSW2 even on PS4 and just accept the BR Class 20 is still currently not fixed and unavailable. If you like routes and locos from other countries as well and are none UK resident then maybe wait until everything is 100% available again. By waiting you might be playing with the older game but at least you will have access to everything you own and bought.

That would be my choice but everyone’s priorities are different I suppose.

 

What in their reply gives the impression that they consider the problem to be fixed? Chill out and let them work things out with Sony. Giving these employees a hard time does nothing to help.

Just the Class 20 and BR182 not showing in game for me, with the error message on startup for those two DLC.

 

Well Sam recently did a YouTube video on the WSR for fun and in the comments section someone said they were pleased for him having WSR because they couldn’t get their dlc’s. Sam responded by saying re download them because they were all working now. ( A definitive statement ) Someone else responded and said he was wrong and the BR Class 20 Gonk wasn’t whereby Sams response was “ works fine for me” Now Sam was either being glib about it and not taking the comment seriously? or he genuinely thinks it’s not a big deal because most dlc’s are now available again.

Either way comments like that from a member of DTG on YouTube don’t exactly fill the person that reads it and who is still missing a dlc or two with much confidence that they are still prioritising the fixes for the currently missing paid for dlc’s.

I like Sam because he’s funny in his vids, is passionate about TSW, and has the unenviable job as a moderator on here and has had to moderate me before but under the current circumstances he needs to be careful what he says as a DTG member of staff in the comments section on his YouTube videos and the impression it gives.

 

To add more to this issue:
Today, I tried going through the in-game store to get the DLCs as they seem to be all showing fine for the ones I own.
The issue is that the game downloads the PS5 DLC content from the PS4 in-game store…

See I'm in BE, running the PS4 TSW2 CE Digital, and look at the download list, and the PS4 label in the store:

 

I have SEHS and it is showing but I am having some crashing on that route so not great at the moment. These add ons are not showing for me in the UK:

Rhein-Ruhr Osten
DB BR 182
LIRR M3
DB BR 155
BR Class 20

 

Add on BR 182 still missing for me in game in germany

Interesting bart, thanks for update. I think this is why I am holding back, even if all clear there is clearly some polishing that is required. Sehs on old build with ps4 offline runs very smoothly, I wonder if it not hooking up to dovetail and trying to load screen contest winners has made a difference... anyhow will have to update eventually as want west Cornwall dlc

don’t blame you for sitting on the fence, let’s hope after the bank holiday Sony can clear all this up as it seems to be DTG inferring the issues are still with them.

 

Agreed photo, keeping an eye on when people report the dlc is showing free across board, the current workaround whilst great does leave some unsettling images for some of their dlc still being listed at cost. Hey ho, enjoy the weekend

 

Tsw2 base edition Missing all my dlcs. I have uninstalled and deleted tsw2. Game still broken

I want to report that the LIRR M7 locomotive has an inaudible traction sound at the beginning of a journey, after some time it normalizes.

Please note that I still don't have access to the DLC's Rapit Transit, Rhein-Ruhr Osten and M3 LIRR.

All add ons mentioned show as $0.00 in the In-game store and in the PS Store. They can download fine but wont appear in the list of routes and i still get the error message for, lirrm3, tsw2westsomnerstrailway, leipzigs2sbahn.
I tried re downloading from the library but i still get the same message.

I never bought M3, or the other locos/routes others are missing.

 

In the first post on this thread there is a link to another page with instructions to follow. If you follow those instructions you will get your DLC back, with only a few (if any) missing. If you don’t follow the instructions it might look like all your DLC is missing but that’s not the case. I have nearly every DLC for TSW2 and the download took around 6 hours for everything to be replaced, so if you have a lot of DLC it may take a while to get them all installed again.

Redownloaded Main Spessart, Rapid Transit, GWR and LIRR several times as per instructions and they aren't showing as available in the game. Had no problem with Pennisula, East Coastway, Munich Cathcart and Highspeed.

I am still getting the error message when I load the game too

 

Thank you for saying this, that it's not just my system crashing on this route. I was beginning to think it was just me with the issue.

 

I'm on a bog standard PS4, in the UK, TSW2 deluxe edition. I only have UK routes so the only dlc I'm missing is the class 20. It is available for download, which I did, but it's not available for use in game and I still get the warning that it needs to be updated.

 

I forgot that I'm getting the error code foe the Class 52, although given WSR is screwed for me in general its hard to check for sure.

I think one of the issues that is also happening is not everyone has fibre broad band all over the world. I feel I am very lucky to have 220 meg download speeds but I live in a main town. I hate to think if you are out in Norfolk in a village with speeds less than what I used to get with a dial up modem! Plus I have unlimited download with no cap. It might be good if DTG would provide disks to those with slow internet connections. Free of charge of course.

Right I have just re-installed my 3 missing locos again after doing a database rebuild and I now have my Class 20 back M3 and 182 still missing but 1 step closer I am on PS4 slim in UK with Collectors Edition not sure if the rebuild made any difference.

British Rail Class 20 back for me now as well. They must have fixed it because I didn’t re build my database. Just re downloaded it again.

That’s everything back for me. Finally no more error messages. YAY!

 

After reading your message, i thought to try rebuild database method as well (again). No such luck for me as it had for you. I still have 3 missing loco addons (BR 182, LIRR M3 and BR Class 20) ---> Finland/Deluxe Edition

I also downloaded from the Store while having the game running, but you need to restart the game so that the addon installs when you run the game again. That didnt help to make addon appear in game.

I have tryed it all now... I guess we just need to wait for ppl at Sony to do something to fix this problem for good. Tomorrow i hope...

Oh! and strange thing about the rebuild database. After it finished it, i had like 103 purchased items showing in my library. Then i did restore licences and i have 110 items, which now should be the correct number. Go figure.

 

aorry it did not work for you, I have no idea why it suddenly showed up after that, I had tried to reinstall all 3 locos numerous times and just thought what the hell I will do a rebuild and try again. It seems to be so hit and miss for everyone .

 

yeah, that will be it then I didn’t know if the rebuild made any difference at all. If only I could get the other 2 working

 

Reading between the lines the BR Class 20 is now fixed unless it’s specific to regions? I’m in the UK which seems an area to have had less problems restoring the missing dlc’s. than others. I must have downloaded the BR Class 20 numerous times since the main roll out of dlc fixes but it was never successful until this afternoon. I’m guessing the other problem locos are still not fixed but they are working on them.
