Okay, so the upgrade is finally here, and I literally have to start from the beginning. No data or trophies can transfer over? What the hell? There is no way i'm starting it all again. Every other game that has been upgraded has provided the option to carry over data and trophies. What is the reasoning for this one? If the option wasn't ready for upgrade day, then why bother launching it?
I have Dirt 5 and WRC9, both of which came with PS4 and PS5 versions and neither has carried over progress or trophies.
Hitman 3 carried over progress, DLCs, and trophies, from Hitman 1 and 2 + their respective DLCs. It's a developer choice.
In faireness, this isn't something that just happens (we'll toss a coin - heads we'll switch progress and trophy transfer on, tails we won't). I think this just highlights DTG gave themselves too much to do and they had to prioritise what was implemented and what wasn't. I mean, TSW2 doesn't exactly use much in the way of the PS5 features (I think the map on the touch pad is about it, and that was on the PS4 too).
