The immersion from the ATS PBC looks off the charts. Given I've saved all that money from not going on holiday the past year or so due to COVID I think I might treat myself if I can get in quick enough :)

Yes, it's great for all those trains with just the power/brake controller - most of the 3rd gen Dmus and Emus
Not much use for locos though

Yes it's certainly a niche product in that sense.

    Amazing!

Is this commercially available, or a custom built set up?

LOL.. why would you go to those lengths... and use such a crappy monitor? I hope that's just a tech demo and not someone's actual set up.

Because he's spent so much money on the set up, he can't afford an OLED monitor...!!! ;););)

I believe that someone commissioned it, I thought I saw the price mentioned once but won't do that in case I am wrong.

On the subject of controllers, is there anyone out there who has the whole shabang???

By that I mean the PBC, Door control unit, DRA & AWS...

If anyone has, can you please tell me how they all connect to the computer??? Is it via a USB hub or does each device have to be connected with its own USB lead???

    Thanks in advance

    Eric

Eric, each device has its own USB lead and plug, if you have not got enough USB slots on your PC then you would need to buy a HUB.

As Reef says but do make sure that the USB HUB has a separate power input. Plus you may need to check the type of USB lead the controllers have! They may not all be usual/conventional USB-type leads ie they may be the newer variants, like those used on an iphone.

afaik they are all standard 3.0/3.1 USB (same size as your keyboard/mouse/USB thumb drive) Only Apple use the iphone type, unless you are thinking of type C which is the modern Android based phones tablets and such connector.

Some monitors are now using the USB-C connector so they may be coming to other peripherals too (FireCuda Gaming Dock) usb types.png . I agree that the usual type USB-A is the most likely one to be used.

Ph you may be missing my point, I'm saying the controllers all come with a standard 3.0/3.1 (type A) USB, but I do follow your point regarding the HUBs coming with other types, here's an example..

I've got a raildriver but have never connected it to TS...

To anyone who has, can you please tell me if the LED segment speedo works on the raildriver and if it displays the same as the HUD, and if so does anyone know where the raildriver gets its speedo reading from???

    Thanks

    Eric

    Thanks Michael...

I want to build an external "analogue" (real?) speedo but don't know where I can get the speed readings from, hence me asking if / where the RD gets it from...
