After tonight’s live stream , don’t worry about the PS4 upgrade debacle , or the fact that you cannot transfer your account from PS4 to PS5. Matt has new been promoted to executive producer , I have no trouble with Matt in general but I do have an issue with promotions after what we have recently seen.
I hope when Matt is being chauffeured around in his executive limousine with his champagne and fat cigars he doesn’t forget that us poor lowly peasant folk have had to start at level 1 on the PS5.
I expect now he will also get full use of the royal train (when HM doesn't fancy a trip out of course). Although I suppose his chauffeur will still have to pick him up at the station.
PS4 debacle is all over the forum. What did you want? Bloodletting? The PS4 - 5 transfer issue is still in the works and probably should be on the roadmap as an item. Maybe this is something DTG Natster should consider for future RMs, that immediately impacting issues which are under investigation be put on there as a matter of course (and urgency)
We certainly do like our PlayStation users, and we value you just as much as anyone else who plays Train Sim World. We do however, understand you've had a difficult time of things lately, and the community have been incredibly understanding. We have worked with Sony to resolve the PS4 add-on issue and that should be fixed for most players now. If anyone is still experiencing difficulties we have provided a list of instructions here. The profile transfer from PS4 to PS5 is something we are continuing to try and get working, but there aren't any updates to share yet, which is why it won't have been mentioned on the Roadmap stream. By no means have we forgotten about it, but we don't have a timeframe for when you can expect that update yet.
Thanks for the response, but my point (and reason for tagging you) was more to say that maybe it should be on the RM even in the "in planning" section so that people know it's got something doing. There wasn't a "we're researching this" section this month else I'd put it in that instead Not being on the roadmap means "it's not being worked on" as DTG have said many many times
If you think that's bad Imagine an owned Sony studio forcing users to pay for an upgrade when they said prior you wouldn't need to get one. Then say it wouldn't be available on the disc versions but you had to pay for the versions which are more expensive so you could get the ps5 when you get one.
You remind of that woman from The Office (US version) who is livid because of the profane water mark, won’t accept an apology or compensation, the only thing which can satisfy her seething anger is seeing someone else lose their job.
You know I get all the frustration and to some extent the anger. But if you stop and really think about it, you should be thankful that DTG respond or even TRY to fix the problem(s) that arise. Why you might ask? Well I for one am glad the team at DTG aren't anything like the ohhh let's say a certain company called EA or Take Two (and yeah I can list a few others) that only care about what goes into their pockets. Believe me that's being nice when it comes to those two! That being said are DTG perfect? No, no one is. But what the team over there are is passionate and respectful enough to care about what they do put out. I mean c'mon these people get just as frustrated and upset as we do when things go wrong. Call me crazy I guess, but speaking for myself I understand you can't just wave a magic wand and everything is fine. Sometimes it takes time. And yes it may even be weeks or months heck even years, but in the end things get fixed to the best of their ability. So take a deep breath, relax, and be thankful that the team at DTG do care like they do. It could always be worse, we could all be having to pay a microtransaction just to throttle up or use a brake! lol
Hang on, hang on, if you watched the same stream as me, you will know that there are two major issues affecting Xbox users too. Something about cab texture glitches and game audio being completely broken. So, I don't think you can say that "DTG don't like Sony consoles" I think it's more the fact that having a game covering 9 odd platforms is a major undertaking. Especially when you have to deal with different hardware, different external companies and different update rollout systems. If you don't like DTG, I suggest you no longer buy or play their games. Simple solution.
Ha, Ha, Ha. Today a new update and again new problems on PS4 ... Game shuts down after completing timetable in Rapid Transit. I'm getti,ng pretty angre naw :-(
Excellent point. I’m hard pushed to think of any other games developer that has the same level of customer interaction as DTG do.
What exactly would appease you? Are you expecting Matt to wheel out the below on the next stream and have a public execution live on youtube?
Is there a thread talking about this? Are others experiencing it? This is the first i've seen of this so please let me have as much info as possible. Thanks Matt.
Approaching this honestly... The debacle was solved for the most part. Still a few things that don't work and some unfixed aspects like livery editor. But nothing that they can't or won't fix. Just a matter of time, which varies. As for the transfer, it's mostly Sony's fault? I don't want to say 'fault' because it sounds like an accusation and something they did intentionally. Sony's probably the key to making that possible and DTG are doing the legwork on their end, too. And congratulations to Matt on his promotion. DTG as a company took responsibility, which of course involves Matt, but it's not solely his fault, nor is it solely anyone else's. I don't understand what you're implying?
Poor?? With a PS5.It is seen that you do not know the meaning of the poor word. There are people who would eat 3 months with the money from the PS5. What do you have money to spend and time to play? What are you ??? poor of course not.
Spare a moment for those who live in poverty and don’t eat for 3 months. That’s the definition of poor. So will you take a chill pill, look up the PROPER meaning of the word poor and realise that it’s mostly Sony’s problem
I don’t think either of you read the bit of the post about Matt being treated like royalty or understood the sarcastic tone. It was a joke reply to the opening post. It was a response to the preposterous notion in the original post that Matt should not have been promoted while there are issues with the game, as if that’s how the world works. I’m not the poorest person around and Matt won’t be getting chauffeured around in a limo after his well deserved promotion. It was a comedy exaggeration, and I also used the word ‘poor’ to mean unfortunate rather than having no money if the truth be told. Exaggeration isn’t confined to jokes either judging by one example in these replies. Bringing up the poorest person imaginable as an example to point out that I’m not poor is an extreme and that is not the definition of poor. The threshold of poverty isn’t having not eaten for three months, it’s much lower than that. There are people in poverty who eat every day. If you only eat once every three months you will be dead, not poor. No chill pill required.
Discussion of perspective is likely to derail this topic. Suffice to say that we're not thrilled with how the PlayStation Rush Hour launch has turned out on a technical basis and it will be scrutinised to better understand future pitfalls. Matt is a major part of the process in communicating these problems to the rest of the team and, frankly, his move to executive producer is long overdue. The EP is the key owner of the vision of what the game should be, and is responsible for hammering out resolutions to processes that hold it back. We've got the right person for the job.
Congratulations to Matt. He's now the Godfather of TSW. So, the future direction of the game is in his hands. I hope he can see the US coastline from his new corner office.
I'm sure you're not talking about Angela, but there are certainly people in this community who remind me of her...
