I keep running into posts griping about "floating rocks" on the Cain Creek route, but the only floating rocks I've seen are those floating in my cups of iced coffee. So, being a native of Missouri (the "Show Me" State), I've decided to ask someone who claims to have seen these "floating rocks" to post a screen shot.
See this bug report for some examples: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/cane-creek-floating-rocks-near-gold-bar-canyon.42301/ There are many more. On the other hand, I have never seen them in iced coffee, so you may prove that as well with at least one screenshot
Daniel Bloch This is meant to make the route less boring due to its slow speed limit. It might even be secretly a part of Mastery on Cane Creek. Once you have encountered enough, a special train unlocks in the timetable that transports the rocks to where they actually belong.
And yet, oddly enough (or perhaps not), I have never seen anything like this while driving Cane Creek activities.
NO! I have seen screenshots of "floating rocks" -- I still have not seen them while driving Cane Creek. Perhaps I'm just not using the proper magic magnifying glass?
In the OP you claim to have seen them. Little lie? I can forgive you for this, well for this time ....
Rock falls are not uncommon in this area. Maybe, the floater in the second frame is in the process of falling or bouncing.
I want to play this route now (but don’t own it). Hmm, maybe this was some marketing gimmick to get people to buy it?
Apparently there is a volcano somewhere along the track, so maybe those rocks were spewed by the volcano and are in the process of falling
I suggest that you read my OP again: I stated, "the only floating rocks I've seen are those floating in my cups of iced coffee". Get it straight, Rudy!
I never seen any of them, and will never be able to :-( The dinosaur are impossible to get unless cheating, I did all the Journey, Scenarios, and the extremely useless and boring and un-imaginative time table, and still can not even get the first part of the Mastery unlock, as the Mastery requires to load some number of wagons, but the total number done in the owhole is less than what the Mastery requires
I think I can read and in this sentence I read your claim that you have seen floating rocks (= ice cubes) in your cups of iced coffee. This seems totally clear to me. Since you ask us to prove we have actually seen the floating rocks in the Cane Creek route, I thought it would be reasonable not to believe you have actually seen floating rocks (which you call ice cubes) in your iced coffee. You should consider this to be a joke, please. Let's not get to serious here.
Just did a Brendel to Moab drive, and did take some screenshots... have fun with the floating rocks, i wonder how you did not have seen one of those.
I have "walked" the whole line from one end to the other, and I have never seen any of the floating rocks
I don't have the DLC but could it be related to level of details in settings? Triggered by some combination of settings and not visible with another config?
Teflon490 after i read your post i did checked my settings... and it looks somehow some setting where on high instead of ultra, dont know how that happened, but going from high to ultra eliminated some of the floating rocks, the rocks complety disappear on ultra
I agree the route as a whole is not broken ar all, it just needs some proper attention and fix some of the issues that should of never gotten passed testing.
if you want to see em start from south when driving and hit the key 3 for outside cam view you can easily spot over 1000 floating rocks the devs should do that themselves
Surprisingly, I didn’t notice any floating rocks while driving the route. One day, was bored and decided to look for the collectibles to read the billboards along the route ( Great idea by the way, sort of like reading historical markers while on a road trip) and then really started to notice the floating rocks. Usually minor floats an the side gradients of the road bed. Once I did notice them, it was then hard not to see them. Nothing to rage about, but would be nice if gravity would pull them back to earth.
