The hello Kitty train... isn't that the Shinkansen series 500? I would love to see that train, but in the 1997-2010 era where it had 16 cars "W" units with the wing pantographs on cars 5 and 13 running Nozomi services @ 300 km/h

Outside of Train Simulator 2017, DTG has never done anything outside the UK,US,DB trio for the base annual releases.

Me too, and its also been asked for many times on stream and in forum. Hopefully now that the UK and some parts of Europe are coming out of lockdown it could be a possibility in the near future :)

Yes and has been moved up the list too. The problem with Scotland North of the Central Belt and Fife, it gets a bit remote. Nice country but not a lot going on.

Now Wales has much going on even today and has much potential :) Particularly in the south! If a North Walien Route was to be done, It should be done in the 90s with 37s etc

Id like to see a traditional Bullet train and route. I don't know what its called but it was iconic to us spotters in the UK in the 1980s. I think it was from 1969.

Haha, That looks epic compared to the long nose trains we see today on Japan Railways. Also not a fan of pink! But looks good :)

Spain . I say Spain because it seems shameful to me that they continue with the same countries as always .... I do not understand why so much interest in Germany, the United States and England. They could vary a bit ..... gentlemen this is train sim WORLD .... no train sim 3 countries .......

Asking me, I'd say it's not just the Country, but rather more the scenery on the route. Or those trains operating the route. As II'm interessted in the "Iron Ore Line" from Denmark to Sweden. (yes, I know this is very impossible see it in TSW2) I would call for one of these Countrys.
I would also love to see anything like the Swiss or Austrian Alps. Just give me anything different to those mainline Routes:)

I would say the Netherlands
I hope they make it soon i will buy it directly ✌️
    But also would be interested
    Poland
    Italy
    Belgium

But it doesn't mean that no one else deserves they dream routs or suggestions

Germany has much routs why the don't make new dlc for those routs and make route add one for new countries

Really don't understand that wrong people like i said before everyone deserves their own suggestions or dream routs.
Have a great day all of u

They already know a lot of stuff about the railroads in these three countries, can reuse a lot of the assets they already made, and whatever products they create keep selling well...

They do. It's just a pure risk vs reward management strategy. Creating a new country would require more investment to do research and create new assets, while there's less certainty about how well it'll sell.

Perhaps the exptended Q&A will also contain information about the wishes for new countries?

I have no clue what the subject of the Q&A is, and how to ask our Qs in advance.

Exploring new countries isn't something DTG have really done in the past, with the very few rare exceptions in France, Austria and Canada.

It's just wishful thinking, but I hope that after "Rush Hour" and "Spirit of Steam" comes a theme that involves new countries. Anything outside of those same old 3 countries would be nice, really.

Obviously the Netherlands would be nicer than nice, really. Probably too good to be true though. Not sure if keeping hope is a good thing...

Gorgeous landscape in which the iconic Renfe Class UT-440 Cab car in its original Blue yellow stripe livery is an absolute must.

    Ranked top for me:
    1. The Netherlands. It's home, and c'mon, just look at NS ICM "koploper" and tell me you don't want it! As well as super busy, pretty easy safety systems but still good, and generally a great all-rounder in terms of kinds of content, only lacking a really good HSL.

    2. Japan. cause, you know, it's Japan, and they're known for their trains, plus there's multiple routes I can think of at the top of my head I'd want.

    3. Norway. probably one of the most picturesque countries I can think of, went on a tourist train there once and it was spectacular.

    4. Korea. It's a really weird country but perhaps one of the best for TSW2 all-rounders. It literally has every kind of train. There's the American locomotives mostly for freight and the cheaper coach carried trains. Then there's the European style EMU's and locomotive pulled ones and High Speed. And then there's the Japanese style very modern commuter trains.
Korea is truly the train country that somehow brings all major styles of trains together on one railroad.
      [IMG][IMG][IMG]
There's plenty of countries that'd make a great pick though, including Spain like dholter above me pointed out! :D

Good point and for the High-speed lines they use TVM-430 LGV Méditerranée with the 25kv 60hz overhead contact system voltage of Boston Providence route. Metro lines are 1.5kv DC voltage. ATC Japanese signaling are used outside of the high-speed lines which are TVM-430. Light signals are Osshd Hl type Riesa-Dresden or Japanese type. The Metro lines do sometimes use Korean pop music idols as train announcements that would make it even harder because DTG will need to ask SM Entertainment announcers voice for Seoul Metro Line 1.

To be fair, other than Peninsula Corridor's "Warning, the doors are about to close", what route does have on board anouncements? I don't think on-board announcer voices are gonna be added soon.
But indeed, Korea is really the Frankenstein railroad, having pieces from every major railroad so far, so it'd be really fun to see them all interact with each other on a Korean route in-game.
Though I personally still have my order of favorites, and perhaps 3 and 4 are interchangeable, my 1 and 2 aren't :)

I have to say that NS ICM "koploper" is an impresive looking machine. It looks like a Boeing 747-SP without wings and on tracks :D

Actually one was painted in a KLM scheme, and another in a Martinair scheme, for promotional purposes, which made them look even more airplane like :).

Aussie Aussie Aussie, Oi Oi Oi!
Only place where HST varients operate alongside Korean/Chinese influenced trains also operating alongside varients of big beefy US locomotives! Lots of variation, steep grades, heavily trafficked commuter lines similar to Boston Sprinter, and massive heavy haul lines with SD70ACe LCis and ES44ACis similar to Cane Creek

I voted for Italy mainly because of the stunning Frecciarossa 1000, which would be a fantastic addition to TSW 2.

This train has KVB VACMA 1.5kv DC installed in addition to RS4 SCMT Italy. The odd thing is that it uses a 1.45m copper contact strip on Italian 3kv DC and 25kv 50hz High Speed Lines.

Russia Ukraine Belarus share ASLN Klub-U train Protection Systems because all of those countries were part of the Soviet Union. DTG will need NEVZ license for the Vladimir Lenin class electric locomotives. That includes VL60 & VL65 locomotives however the passenger coaches those pull require a separate process to power them up is that you heat up the samovar using Coal or wood pellets.

Why a license from NEVZ, if you can use locomotives from Skoda ChS- (2) 4, ChS-7 (8). And yes, most of the cars in the former USSR have a generator for autonomous power supply, so the "samovar" can be heated there with electricity.

Thank you for telling me about this and what I'm thinking of is Domestic Russian design locomotives like the VL80 VL10 those were made by NEVZ. 1.435m version of ChS 2 & 3 is CD 140/141 locomotives

The VL series is mostly used for freight transport, while passenger trains mainly hauled the ChS series.
