I just had an (great) idea So on BML there will be AI services that go on the ECW line, that if you wanted to take a seat if you are on BML, on an ECW service that the game will load u to the ECW route and then u can play that services. Its sort of connect it but also not connecting it.
Already been suggested, with the "easiest way" being the blue scenario start markers on platforms. These could be used to start services on either route, given they already load you out of the perspective you're in anyway so a "long load" wouldn't be too jarring
didn't know that. But imo it would be bit better when u take a seat then walkig into a blue marker... And the route still needs to load so
Can work either way but only on one proviso. Both BML and ECW would have to use the same station tile and have the same timetable at Brighton. Then it can load the next tile silently in the background depending on which line you actually set off from Don't know if they have the tech for this yet, or if it's even possible
Yeah indeed, so ECW & BML timetable (drivable & AI serives) should be the same then indeed. I doubt they have the tech for that yet but it always can be made ofc!
It's whether it would be worth it or not. We might say "of course it is" but a few hundred hours of dev time spent getting that working properly could be the difference between getting something else working or not. And we are talking about saving five clicks... (or so)
Yeah indeed, its a beginnen of kinda connection 2 routes with each other, or lets say connect the services.
Which leads to route extensions, networks and all that fun stuff (which is a pain in the neck to program, test and maintain consistency across 40 DLC)
indeed, so half of the work (services) is then already done, but i guess they never will link BML & ECW toghter because iirc there aren't any services on BML that goes on ECW, so the service idea could be something that will it make bit funner
There are one or two that go down the BML to BRI and then off to Eastbourne or Lewes, but they tend to be later night ones. There's a link between BML and ECW South of Haywards Heath that comes out at Lewes (we have the north loop at Lewes, but the track between the two won't be in game (which is a shame as this would give a ton more gameplay (but again, dev time)))
maybe lae maybe later that north loop might come then ECW & BML can be connected indeed and i would be amazing to have! & the dev's are quite busy with other thing too atm, lot of things we don't even know about yet & fixes
(Just think of all those new 377 services which avoid Brighton, and the 66 services coming from Newhaven...)
