Hello everyone, We have the first London Commuter preview stream upcoming this week (Friday at 19:00 UTC). We want to give you the opportunity to ask any questions you might have about the route beforehand. Important information: In this stream we will be joined by Joe who has worked closely on the timetable for London Commuter, so this is a great opportunity to ask him any questions you might have about his work and the timetables in general. As always we aim to answer as many questions as we can but we aren't always able to cover everything, if your question doesn't get answered in this stream don't fret we will be hosting a second stream. Please post your questions below and we'll answer as many as we can!
i've heard that the 465(& 375) services aren't driable, cant u make them drivable because it add some gameplay and its more fun to drive it then u just see it driving away
In some preview pictures shared in social media, there was a 313 and a Gronk. Were these pictures genuine and will the 313 and Gronk be integrated into the route (if you own them)?
There would be no point in these being driveable as the would leave Victoria and straight into a portal
I would like to know will the console versions have the full timetable. We know from the past consols have not been able to benefit from the fu timetable and I really hope it is different this time around! Pleaseeeee
All timetable related as requested! - Can you briefly summering the key service patterns in the timetable please. - what is your favourite service to drive?
How many railtours will we have and will we have a Ai railtour with the 395 that did the Redhill to threeebridges section
Hello, I have several little questions for this route. First of all, are there any slight plans on future DLCs for this route? I just want to know yes or no, not asking about what it will be. Second question. As we saw, there is a Gronk implemented into the route. Will it be stationary (as CSX units on Boston Sprinter), will it be AI only serviced (so we can see it moving a bit) or will it be driveable? And furthermore, if it is a layer and not a model from the route, which route will it be layered from? The next and last question, will we be able to drive some freight services with Class 66 on the route? Thanks a lot for reading through this and even more thanks if you’ll answer this on the stream!
On east coastway the 377's Door SDO feature doesnt work so when your driving an 8 or 12 coach train the the doors which arent on the platform still open. Will the reworked 377 and the new 387 for london commuter have the working SDO feature?
Will there be any services for the class 66? there are a number of aggregate sidings along the route that could offer some fun freight runs if they are included.
Can you go into more detail about what the quality control process was like on this route to prevent gamebreaking bugs? There were many bugs and quality issues on Boston and Dresden, to the point I havent started Dresden yet due to crashes when you pull into Dresden. I really dont want to have the same experience with the new London route.
Why has London Commuter taken so much longer to release than the other 3 routes. Did the bugs which took place when the free update released delay the route?
Are there any railtour services, perhaps even utilizing the Class 33 which is limited to WSR exclusively so far?
Will DTG finally break a very nasty habit and give us a reasonable amount of time to set up our trains before departure? Has the timetable been built in such a way that each station on the route has accurate arrival/departure times, or has the computer been allowed to best guess the timetable from the start and end times? Will the timetable be a challenge to keep to schedule as a result?
Are certain landmarks going to be featured? In particular the Arqiva television masts at Croydon and Crystal Palace as in reality they can be seen for miles around Croydon and surrounding areas. The skyline would look a little bizarre if they cannot be seen.
Will there be a seperate timetable for last-gen (PS4, Xbox) or will it be the same as the next-gen and PC version?
Will the current PS5 issue be sorted prior to this routes release so that this route appears in game for us on day 1?
Will we see AI services or Player services terminating at Gatwick Airport due to some GX services terminating at LGA?
In Services/timetable mode will there be units that stable overnight at London Victoria/Brighton Station? and will there be after midnight (start of the timetable) ECS moves, or any services that start after midnight such as the 00:08 London Victoria to Gatwick Airport via Redhill Southern service. (2009 Summer Timetable)
Will there be any GWR service around redhill? Will there be sparks coming from the 3rd rail on this route?
Does the Class 387 have the step lights modelled, given that every one has them? What trains are layered? How many scenarios are there? Is Reigate station fixed? Literally has a block of flats for the station building... kinda wrong. How much access to Clapham Jnc and Victoria do we have? Any freight trains? Is a full GWR timetable implemented, there's more than enough Turbos if layered at all? Is the Southern pride logo on 377415? It's been on this train for a long time. In the route's service mode, has a gap been left in case future SWR stock gets made that can liven up London? Just how much Southeastern traffic has made an appearance? Can you ride some of the trains for 1 stop?
It would be nice to have some ECS services to the depot just outside Victoria. My two questions: Are last-gen consoles getting all the layers and AI traffic? Question for Joe: What was the biggest challenge in making such a busy timetable and what obstacles did you have to overcome?
Pretty sure they said the reason for the short delay was because of the extra branch line being released for Dresden route
