DTG have question threads active for BML streams and many screenshots, usually that means no more than 2 weeks to go

 

Assuming Dovetail Follow the same path as past releases:

1st Preview: 1st October
2nd Preview: 7th or 8th of October
Release: 14th of October

 

Bigger question... what date will people stop asking questions nobody knows the answer to other than DTG...

I'm not too bothered about when it's released honestly, let's hope and to a certain degree expect a good quality route. With the amount of backlash they have received with regards to this update, this should be their moment to say to us 'this is what we can create when we get things right'

I’ve often heard the word “guys” used by and to refer to men and women equally, at least in the UK.

..... and using Guys and Gals would have very unfortunate connotations.

 

Oxford dictionary says under "guys":
.........

1. • people of unspecified gender.
     "you guys want some coffee?"
2. BRITISH
   a figure representing Guy Fawkes, burned on a bonfire on Guy Fawkes' Night, and often displayed by children begging for money for fireworks.

I think they were using the former definition. Please put away your torch and pitchfork for displays of sexism that are actually worthy of your outrage.

If you are using the online Oxford if you click to expand it has the non-gender-specific definition immediately under the "informal" one you quoted.

Thanks, was just trying to be helpful and diffuse an argument that seemed to misunderstand a common use of a word. That's cool that you have a new physical dictionary though, mine is from 1996, it's quite hefty but I don't care enough to actually look at it anymore, I should sometime though. Google is just too convenient and has made me complacent when everything seems just a quick search away.

firstly to address the question i imagine the release will probably be 14 october.

secondly as a woman who plays this game, my friends and i refer to eachother as guys all the time, so for me personally (but i in no way speak for every woman here) guys is just a general term for a group of people, male or female.

i don't want to go too off topic, but there are so many more pressing issues of sexism we face daily, both virtually and in real life, that make whether using the term guys is okay or not pale in comparison.

again, these are my own experiences and not those of every woman, which is sadly a common misconception when someone like me speaks in a male-dominated space.

 

I'll explain why.
Do you have any trans friends? I'd suggest you ask them. I have several, and all of them hate being referred to as ' hey guys' when in company. Even if it's accepted informal doesn't mean it's right. Does that answer your question?

I wanna know when the branch will be added for Dresden….the PS4 will stop crashing on this route….the PS5 DLC content overload will be solved….and of course if it’ll be a white Christmas or not..

Bearing in mind the pointlessness of trying to guess I thought I would hark back to the ‘end of summer debate’ that had been going on for months that still makes me laugh. So it’s not a dig in the direction of DTG that it didn’t release in summer. An even better joke on the same subject is now immortalised in my signature because that one sort of came true, plus the Christmas one of course, which could still come true if there are issues.

 

This is just purely speculation lads. Any and all official information will be released by DTG.
But as people said above, if DTG follows their historical release trend. I would put BML to release on October 14th as many have speculated.

But nothing is official yet, unless it's announced, so don't believe anything unless it's confirmed and it has reputable sufficient evidence to back it up.
