I'm on a xbox one s and I have all the layers in timetable mode. I'm pretty sure we're not meant to get the 166 or 375. Is this a bug
And also they said when testing it would crash with all layers. I loaded in and it looked like it was going to crash but then I didn't
They might have tested it on the Original Xbox one, or they could have tested it in Low power mode on the S Also my Xbox can definitely handle more than 2 different trains when I’ve used the scenario planner
Hello - in short, no. We're currently investigating. Our hypothesis is that PS5 and Xbox (all generations) are currently playing on an incorrect build. This means that the day 1 updates we include on launch day (which include some of the final polish for the route) are currently stuck in a pipeline somewhere and haven't made the release you're seeing. By way of further explanation - Day 1 updates include content which is changed between certification on platforms, and are a regular thing for us and many other game developers. Most content you see in game will have had a Day 1 update as part of its release. Our dev team will make this their number one priority to resolve today. And we will keep you up to date with when you can expect another update. Thanks for your patience.
Sorry I don’t understand what you mean, are you saying the Xbox One S is supposed to get the extra layers?
Hello, folks. We've put in an update on the situation here and will update when we know more. Thank you for your patience.
Sorry to pester you but can we please have an option to turn on the extra layers on the One S and X? They are more powerful than the original and I wouldn’t mind having terrible performance just to get the extra layers
Xbox one s. Currently pootling through the countryside in my 166 with nary a stutter. Will try and enjoy these perfectly functioning layers for a few hours before they get patched out. edit : texture loading time seems to be what is suffering. But no crashes yet.
Sorry, my bad. It's a discussion we're having internally at the moment (there was quite a lengthy discussion in last night's stream about it, in which Matt goes into the detail of why it is and isn't a good idea. In short - it's not something we've planned to do, but we are talking about what we can do to support last-gen consoles whilst not compromising on the potential latest-gen consoles provide us with.
It’s patched out now. just waiting for US time so I can play via game pass which is streamed from series X hardware. then I can soak in those layers trainspotting at Clapham and Gatwick.
