That looked bad. It all seems go in the States at the moment . I saw this electrical explosion courtesy of an idiot
That reminds me a couple of years ago in NYC there was a challenge to throw some metallic buckets on the third rail or getting inside the cab

Southeastern has been taken over by the UK government! It is now under an operator of last resort due to a number of non declared paym8 BBC News - Southeastern: Government takes over services after 'serious breach' https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-kent-58716625
I recently used the Chennai metro in India, I took a few pics. The station is elevated, which provides a magnificent view of the bustling city. (ironically, these pics were taken just after the lockdown, hence the lack of humans) (notice the PIS display on the top left!) St Thomas Mount station, a major interchange between metro and suburban rail traffic. The metro rolling stock is made by Alstom, and the Suburban EMUs in the mainline are made locally by ICF and Siemens

And they wonder why we've problems with having enough hgv drivers at the moment BBC News - CCTV: Lorry reverses into Stoke-on-Trent level crossing https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-stoke-staffordshire-58848062
The stock that was used on Prague S Bahn. ČD BR 451 and BR 452. Most of them are scraped now. Only one is in rail museum. They ended a service in 2018.
Very unusual incident this morning, local to me, thankfully no serious injuries http://news.sky.com/story/enfield-t...ugh-buffers-and-almost-hits-building-12431960
Freightliner to withdraw entire electric fleet. Temporary at least but quite a major blow to the UK network, just before COP26 too.
Here is another one I travelled on back in 2017. I just happen to hang around with my iphone as it departed Barrow up the Cumbrian coast. I'd travelled up from Preston. This is 37402....lovely
Posting a link rather than a pic cos I don't want to steal the guy's photo, but this Southern dispatcher posted a lovely pic of Brighton Station on Twitter today.
On the München Hbf side Prague is written as Prag because 130 years ago Czech Republic is part austro-hungarian Empire therefore all the cities in Czech Republic have names in German. It's going to be displayed on German Deutsche Bahn and Austrian ÖBB trains to Prague. CZ362 has a PZB LZB Sifa variant the CZ 371 372 DB BR180 which you would find at Riesa-Dresden route Dresden Hbf area.
Jesus - This is a train you didnt want to be on https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...people-Tokyo-train-setting-carriage-fire.html
Network Rail haven't come well from that. The truck was apparently delivering to an NR site by the railway and because of a lack of turning area (the Wedgewood Estate have blocked off the turning point) and a weight/height restriction the only way out was to reverse. Now obviously the truck did the right thing by trying to clear the line when the alarms went off - even if it took the barrier with it. But as the crossing is under CCTV control from the signalling centre the question is why didn't the signaller check the camera before starting the sequence.

Here is one from Metropolitan Transit Authority New York State it's the governor Kathy hochul visiting East side Access. The governor used the LIRR M9 to reach East Side Access originally planned for completion in the 1970s from Woodside 61st Street present in Game.
Is that a proper sounding 187 in bottom picture? - They do look really smart, i'm not buying a dogs dinner though.
No media outlet probably says what many think. Another pointless tragedy Three seriously injured in knife attack on train in Germany https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-59181509
If you're wondering what type of train the attack occurred in it's a DB BR401 ICE1. You see it in this NBC News US footage of the attack. Railway corridor is Asschaffenburg-Lohr-Wurzburg-Nuremburg-Regensburg-Passau. Broken down by routes you get Main Spessart Bahn Asschaffenburg-Lohr Hannover Wurzburg via Lohr connector Wurzburg-Nurnberg & Nurnberg-Regensburg.
I was kinda surprised during my patrol to catch the ESV 702 Vigirail ( tracks inspection unit ) I just had enough time to cross the tracks and get on the platform to snap it, this explain the shitty quality of the pictures :
Well, I fear there is a risk of cancel culture chasing steam trains now National Railway Museum will investigate STEAM TRAIN links to slavery https://mol.im/a/10174983
I'd not worry - this sort of thing is fascinating to railway historians. Many of the railway's early backers had made their fortunes through slavery and had been handsomely compensated* when abolition happened so they had money to burn. "Wealthy Merchants" is a common euphemism for them. It'd say the bigger Cancel Culture is the push to stop museums and historians from looking in to slavery and the conduct of some during the colonial era. I wonder if some people are afraid of what might be found and that it might make uncomfortable reading. And that's probably all it will be, uncomfortable reading for some. History isn't just about learning about that good things. *The chunk of national debt created by this was only cleared in the last few years.....
