Hi guys, Just to let you know I’ve already been starting on modding the GX Class 387.

So far I have replaced the external marker and headlights. As seen below in the comparison, the plain white circle for the headlight has been replaced with something that actually looks like a headlight.

I have also replaced the speed and brake gauge textures and colours, as these were reused from the 377. The new version is more accurate to how it looks in real life.

I next plan to add some external weathering to the 387. Let me know what you think so far!

Looking good. Weathering in particular will be welcome. The one thing that’s very noticeable dividing my current gaming time between Snowrunner and TSW, is just how unbelievably squeaky clean everything is in TSW, whether the envionment or the trains.

I think this has much to do with license agreements.

Are you able to make the traction motor noises louder when in cab view? Not sure if anyone finds them a bit quiet?

I can turn the volume up and then get deafened by aws

I travel on electrostars a lot and they are a lot louder irl

It's all a little squeaky clean.

I done it on Cathcart for a test you gotta put it in neutral and press and hold the ac button for about 20 seconds then it'll switch then hold the pan up button until you hear the transformers kick in then good to go

Hi, SprattyHeath is currently working on this. As a result, I'm going to focus solely on the 387.

I'm going to have a look at the texture map and see if its possible to add weathering.

I think its realistic to be quieter in the cab as you're a lot more insulated and further away from the motors vs being in the interior.

Suppose you can't do anything with the P.I.S speed can you?
But I'm assuming that'll have to be a dev change?

Great work already tho, your mods are game changing in my opinion.

WIP - some subtle weathering for the 387. Still need to do the glass on the windows and cab.

I've never liked how DTG did the backlighting on the gauges on the 377/375/387 for the exact same reason - it looks very cartoonish and amateur.

The dots are supposed to represent individual LEDs, as the 387s have this in real life.

Can you darken the interior walls. It doesn't look right with the white they used. Had no curves.

Looks really good, did you saw the video that I posted, it can give you more ideas of how the headlight should be. Very amazing job so far, really appreciated what you are doing for the community londonmidland. :):o:D

The mod should be released very shortly - in the next few days.

As you can see, I have no added weathering to the windows, as well as a bit more weathering externally. I have also tweaked the GX red very slightly to be a bit more pale.

Some very subtle weathering to the passenger interior added:
    - Scratch and grunge marks added to all areas of the interior, including back of seats, table surfaces, panels and on the ceiling.
    - AC area made darker to indicate heavy usage/filling with dust

Indeed, however sometimes their detail can actually be incredible, just not where it matters. I saw a post recently where someone found that the generators somewhere on BML ( I think it was this route) hum at the exact frequency that they would do irl. Amazing. But it's a generator that I assume less that 5% of players would come across, and an even less percentage of players who would appreciate that the generator hums according to the real life frequency. DTG would be a lot more appreciated if they included this sort of attention to detail to the train itself.

Will you be giving the 377 the same treatment?

Really amazing Work as usual londonmidland, i really like what you did would this mod, especially the headlight but is it possible you can make it default without the weathering but only change the headlight for those who like to drive clean train. Thanks again and amazing work as usual :)

The headlight is still not edited for the 377 still, is it possible that you can fix this or ask SprattyHeath to. Thanks
