those classes do not have vacuun brakes. !!! only class 101 has vacuum brakes, no more.

They've been set up in the correct setting (air mostly). BR Heavy Freight Pack has vans that only work with vacuum (brakes won't release with air). If you were to pull a Class 101 with a loco then you would need to use vacuum. There are services with loco and 101 in Tees Valley Line (Class 31 DLC adds them) but not in this route (maybe a scenario I can't remember).

In some cases you can use air or vacuum. I recommend watching Matt's braking tutorial. Go to 1:58:40 in the video to see the process in this route:

Air brakes for everything except for the wooden 20 ton vans, they are vac braked only.

You can choose to use vac brakes for the newspaper/mail trains with just the Mk1BGs but you need to manually set the brake in each coach before starting off to do this.

This is incorrect. They are all dual braked and can be set to air or vacuum, goods or passenger.

Nooo.that have 2 brakes? true, the automatic and the indirect, but neither is vacuum. You can access "guides" in dovetail that give you the manuals of any locomotive. you can download them in pdf

It's has nothing to do the brake lever/s.
The brake selector switch is normally on the back wall of the No.1 end of the loco- Air brake Passenger, Air brake Freight, Vac brake Passenger, Vac brake Freight.

You are quite insistent even with your own lack of knowledge but have you tried reading those manuals yourself? Here’s a quote from one of them about the brakes in the Class 45 and also the Class 47…

    4. On the back wall behind the driver’s seat, ensure the Brake Selection Switch is set to
the Air Brake - Passenger setting (which is appropriate for Mk 2 coaching stock) and
check the appropriate indication is shown on the Secondman’s side of the cab.

Now have a look in the loco at the switch it refers to. If you can’t find the switch, try the other end of the loco.

All of the locos in NTP and the HFP have dual air/vacuum systems. When those engines were designed in the late 50s/early 60s BR had a lot of vacuum-braked stock in service. However, vacuum is only used when hauling the old 12-ton vans (and in-game that's only with the Class 40 or 08), or if pulling a 101 with a loco (AFAIK, only on TVL with the Class 31).

Somewhere in the cab #1 or #2 will be marked.
