Hello, I am loving the Brighton Mainline route, the density of services is really incredible. Unfortunately, several services have inaccurate paths/stopping points. 1F96 - This service should be pathed via Gatwick Airport Platform 7 where it is due to stop. It is scheduled to arrive at 18:18:30 and depart at 18:20:00. 1D00 - This service is pathed completely wrong. It leaves Victoria on the Fast line and crosses over to the slow line at Battersea Pier Junction. It then runs Slow line all the way through to Gatwick via East Croydon platform 5, South Croydon platform 4 and Redhill Down Mainline (Not platform). In game it is pathed completely down the fast line. This is why I have just arrived 15 minutes early at Gatwick. 1U05 - This service crosses over to the fast line on departure from Gatwick. It then runs fast line to Earlswood where it returns to the slow lines through Redhill Up Mainline (Not platform). It then returns to the fast lines through Stoats Nest Junction where it runs fast into Victoria. In game it is pathed fast all the way. These are all the services that I have noticed are inaccurate so far. It would be nice to have these services available to drive correctly as they provide excitement and variation. It would be nice for these to be corrected as there is no way to copy these paths in scenario designer. Thankfully, the vast majority of services are timed and pathed correctly. It is just a handful of late night/early morning services that are routed differently to the normal hourly service pattern (Which is completely correct as far as I have seen), it is clear a lot of hard work has been put into the creation of this timetable.
It’s a game not a precise simulation of the real thing. Quite possible DTG had to do things that way to make the service work, again in the constraints of the sim vs. real life.
It would actually be really interesting if these trains were pathed as you describe, since that would add some different and interesting service patterns to the already amazing schedule! Make sure to report this also in the Timetable feedback thread from Matt so it is not overlooked
I see no reason why a train can't be sent down the correct path with the correct stopping patterns. The dispatcher wouldn't have an issue. The signals should be modelled correctly and there is no reason why they can't be routed correctly. Will do.
Expanded list of inaccuracies... Service 1F96: Missing Gatwick Airport stop booked platform 7 Arrive 18:18:30 Depart 18:20:00 Service 1D00/5D00 - Should cross to the slow line at the start (Battersea Pier Junction) then run slow all the way to Gatwick (Via East Croydon plat 5 and South Croydon plat 4. Rather than fast to Gatwick which makes me arrive 15 minutes early. Service 1U05 - Runs fast Gatwick to Earlswood then down the Redhill lines and back to the fast line at Stoats Nest Junction to Victoria. Service 1W14 - Should stop Gatwick Airport platform 7 rather than 5. (Not a major issue). Service 1M97 - This train calls additionally at Haywards Heath platform 3 arrives 08:09:30 departs 08:11:00. It then arrives at Gatwick Airport platform 4 at 08:23:00 and departs 08:28:30. The path is correct for this service. MISSING 1TXX services - Three Bridges, Gatwick, Horley, (via Redhill), Purley, East Croydon, Clapham Junction (Slow), London Victoria. They are peak time divisions to the 1RXX services. Evening 1R44 to 1R54 have divisions that run to Gatwick as 1T44 to 1T54. 1T98 - 04:35 Victoria to Gatwick Airport - VIC (15)[d 04:35], CLJ (15)[a 04:41:30, d 04:42:30], SRS (1)[d 04:53:30], ECR (5)[a 04:56:30, d 04:57:30], PUR (4)[a 05:03], CDS [d 05:06:30], MHM [d 05:12], RDH (3)[a 05:15:30, d 05:17], HOR (2)[d 04:56:30], GTW (2)[a 04:58] ^This is an example of an interesting service that runs the slow line all the way to Gatwick, currently something that no other service does.
1T's were dropped for a reason. https://forums.dovetailgames.com/th...definitive-feedback-thread.46102/#post-383359
Fair enough. Just a shame that some of the 1T services (such as 1T98) that don’t split aren’t available to drive (even if they inaccurately went into the nearest portal at the end of the service) it would provide some interesting variation to normal gameplay.
