Maybe add in a few dynamic bits and pieces to spice things up.... Like maybe......
    • Dynamic weather.
    • Dynamic track problems (speed restrictions, diversions etc).
    • Dynamic failures of rolling stock in game.
    • Dynamic signal failures.
    • Line closures for engineering works when more than 2 tracks exist.
    • Dynamic Track workers at the lineside doing things.
Everything above was promised back when TSW launched, we are still waiting.

Yup and add dynamic railway workers to the list. Just putting railway workers on the same spot doing nothing all the time makes them look lazy.

the only thing possible now would be dynamic weather as it's already implemented in some scenarios, the other stuff...not gonna happen with the current dispatchers,it's not a dynamic dispatcher so you can't have dynamic events,if 1 thing goes off script your whole timetable locks.

Agree. The element of randomness is something that has been glossed over by the big sims since MSTS in 2001. Even the old Train Driver 3 which ran on the Amiga or emulator on PC threw random “weaves” to the slow line, signal failures, caution running for trespass or even traction failures and reduction in power if you thrashed the loco etc. too hard. Graphically and sound wise our current sims are 1000 times ahead of those old 90s programmes, but we seem to have lost an essential gameplay element along the way.

I'm pretty sure the signaller/dispatcher is semi dynamic from something that happened with the signalling upgrades that happened about 18-24 months ago.

You hit the nail on the head the timetable shouldn't be scripted. You have a start point and an end point, how the train gets there should be dynamic along certain parameters which is your dynamic aspect.

Block the fast lines and the express has to divert to the slow around a block and gets signalled backout where possible.

The signaller/dispatcher used to love doing that on GWE where you'd get put out on the fast for one junction and brought back again, yes it was a bug in the old routing method, but added some variety, albeit wrong.
