Hello, I would like to propose the Preston to Blackpool Route for Train Sim World 2.

Running from Preston Station to Blackpool North Station via Salwick, Kirkham & Wesham, Poulton-le-Fylde and Layton. Plus running to Blackpool South Station via Salwick, Kirkham & Wesham, Moss Side, Lytham, Andsell & Fairhaven, St. Annes-on-the-Sea, Squires Gate and Blackpool Pleasure Beach.

I've included a poll on which era's might be interesting they're both modern-ish. But also it might be interesting to add the Burn Naze Freight Only Branch from Poulton-le-Fylde on for the Pre Resignalling Era.

I think it would be an interesting route.

I'd extend it to Liverpool via Wigan and St Helens too

I also suggested this some time back. This would be a great route. Era wise I’m personally not too fussed.
On a personal note when I worked on the railway in the early 90’s I worked at Layton stn for a time as well as Preston. Find memories

Would be nice if it could go into East Lancashire, such as Blackburn/Accrington and upto Burnley Manchester Road for the Leeds service and Colne for stoppers. Upto date could have 142, 150/56/58 for the locals and 195s for Express.

1980s era would have Class 104s, 105s, 108s, 120s for DMUs and locos with Mk2 air con stock for Blackpool to Londons etc.

The electric 25kv 50hz version because it allows Class 331 & 319. With Preston Blackpool Class 319 serving as the base model for the future Thameslink core route set in 2011-2016.

Pre electrification, we now have the 150 even though it is probably going to be flawed.

Scope for layers/DLC particularly BR Blue with Class 104 Birmingham RC&W DMUs, 47s and Mark 2s on the Eustons and just about anything on the excursions and summer Saturday reliefs (Class 40 which we already have).

Would have to be BR era for me, as 331s are boring and I don’t like 319s. But set in the 1980s with maybe a new 1st gen DMU and Mk2 air con loco hauled services would be awesome
