The sounds are AP sounds, so they are the real ones, they just haven't been set up (mixed) properly - clearly.

Have a bit of patience, pinging someone doesn't make things any different. They (this goes for all staff you often ping) aren't your personal fix teams.

Have a little patience, like all of us have, rather than repeating yourself about 5 times per thread, like the 187 thread.

Having good raw sound files isn't enough; it's the mixing where the magic happens (or doesn't).

Those are also two separate games, I’d say TSW2 doesn’t have the best implementation of sound in general especially if you listen to the Xbox version!

That’s what I want. Why should I put that lovely ice cream back. If I had it on me, it would have melted anyway., if I hadn’t already eaten it. :)

While we are speaking about sounds fro the class 150. Can anybody take a look at the class 314 on Cathcart Circle and listen to the brake apply and release sounds just confirm that they sound exactly like the class 150?

Could these potentially be imported to the DMU for mixing and application to it?

The 314 is missing it’s brake squeal in TSW. It’s totally silent when slowing down. I assume it’s the same for the 150, with no brake rubbing sound?

I quite agree. Also, in real life, did the 314 have brake rubbing sounds when slowing down?

It’s more of a break squeal/screech sound than a rubbing sound with the 314.

    Hello DTG JD

Are you able to confirm if we can set the 150 head code to "blank/nothing" or "special/private" like on 101?

Was thinking it will be quite immersion breaking if you take it onto NTP using planner and see little 150s running around with hell of a journey to go! (Penzance)

TrainSim-Matt did you happen to notice the available selectable codes when you were setting up the ps5 ready for the stream?

Any response would be greatly appreciated

    Thank you

I've passed it onto Rivet to take a look at, but it won't be there for launch.

Not saying it isnt there, just didn't happen to see it on the screen as an option.

    Thank you

Did we ever get an answer on if the Class 37 & Class 150 will have RailDriver support?

That's because DTG can't figure out how to do the sound properly within the Xbox build of UE. It messes up in the conversion from what Matt P said before.

Yes, as someone who played on PlayStation but has moved on to Xbox I definitely took the sound for granted.

Spoke to Jasper_Rivet yesterday, and both should have RailDriver support.

314s had disc brakes, so just the squeal stopping noise (absent in Carthcart) 150s have blocks which make that very loud rubbing sound while they're applied, plus a squeal upon the train stopping.

It annoys me that it is absent in Cathcart. Won't be patched now sadly.

Well hold your horses there alex.

They haven't confirmed that there isn't a headcode for private/special or blank just yet... fingers crossed it might be there on Thursday nights stream

Maybe if we are lucky Jasper_Rivet might confirm before the stream what the non Cornwall head codes are (fingers crossed)

I supose if you put it on NTP running from Leeds to Manchester you could pretend it's one massive rail tour...and I mean massive, wonder how long it would take a 150 to go from Leeds to penzance...

Back when I was at Uni (~2000-2003) I took the 150 from Truro to Swansea, boy was that painful without any source of food or drink. I managed to do a mercy run at Plymouth to get a sandwich and mars bar from the Spar shop and get back in time.

Going all the way to Leeds would not be fun!

    Agreed dave, that is bumpy.

I have done one from Exeter to Cardiff before stopping at yate etc, that is a long day.

Thoughts about head codes dave? Do you think we will get a blank/depot/special/private? (Hope we do will make tvl and ntp better for the 150)

Oh yes absolutely! Well I must say, the Class 150 is one of my favourites, so it would be rude for me to refuse ;) I used to work as a guard for London Midland (until 2010) and have been providing a lot of information about the DMU's performance to Rivet and DTG. I just know it has so much potential, so I hope my feedback has been taken on-board and this can be implemented. :)

Miles Platting (NTP) ;) Tees Valley. Plus Livery editor to change it to a more modern livery? The opportunities are endless... :D

EDIT: Wish we could use these as a substitute for service modes on each route, rather than having to create a scenario instead and add all the services in... :(

    Think it's 6 services and 2/3 scenarios..

Anybody know if the simugraph was used for the class 150. I would hope so

One of Rivet's Devblog videos referred to putting data in to Simugraph, so I think it's likely they did.

I think that IRL, they run every half hour or so during the day so, if this is reflected in the game, probably around 30 in each direction. It doesn’t really matter though as they are all the same and you won’t encounter any other traffic (except perhaps at St Erth) as it is all single track.

The journey is about 12 minutes so good for a “complete your first service” achievement if there is one.

May I ask why the train is facing to the right at an odd angle on the route selection screen, when the recent core update made every train on the route selection screen face to the left at the same angle? See 1:02:44 in the first preview stream to see what I’m talking about. This is the kind of inconsistency that would seem totally avoidable, although it is a minor thing.

Lots of lovely track sounds in this video! Really hope they manage to add some in to the route, it's kind of a deal breaker for me currently.

The routes release tomorrow has been delayed due to unexpected issues found during final testing.

Ultimately it's better not to release it, than do so broken- unlike all the others this year.

    I'm grateful!

I really do not understand how it is possible in 2021 such a situation, normally before the release of a game or DLC, it undergoes tests and certification to be published on the stores. How is it possible to discover bugs the day before the release of the Dlc? DTG therefore does not check the builds and does it at the last moment?
