Well this is a surprise... Despite only being in the roadmap for just over a month, the stats for DTG's next route, Sherman Hill, are now in the steamdb: This kinda says that this route was already in production long before it was added to the roadmap, but who knows? Maybe we might be getting it this year after all...
That's interesting, especially given it went onto the roadmap under "in planning". Having said that, is there all that much scenery to place? My hazy memories of the TS1 version were telegraph wires, rocks and the odd dead bush.

Seems then that routes are truly put on the roadmap when they're way further along instead of as soon as they start working on them.
Wait, wait, what? I’m actually not mentally prepared for this. Should I be excited or nervous? Because at one end, this is the route I’ve been most excited by for TSW. It’s such a wonderful route filled with Union Pacific action. But also, I don’t want the route to run poorly due to Rush Hour issues. I mainly can’t believe that Sherman Hill is real. If the SD70ACe is built well with the correct sounds, this should be the greatest route ever.
I play on PlayStation and until recently I would read these stats threads and get excited that a new route was close to release. Now it saddens me because I won't have these trophies and because in order to play the new route I will have to uninstall a previous one. Yes, I know this is the PC forum but I wanted to express the discomfort that some TSW players are currently feeling.
Most of the buildings on the route would be located either near Cheyenne or Laramie, there are a few industries located off the mainline, the tunnel, and that's about it. The rest of the route is midwest plains with snow fences and rocks.
This is one of my TS favorites and I am thrilled to see it coming out in TSW. Like all the US routes in TSW, the keys for me are good loco physics and a good, loud, reverberating horn.
