Train Sim World is full of European and American routes. I think I speak on behalf of thousands wishing for an Australian Route. About: Based in Brisbane, Australia. The Queensland Rail CityTrain Network links the CBD of Brisbane and the outer suburbs as far as the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast. It features 150+ Stations and 13 Lines connecting the City. The network features a variety of trains. The EMU, IMU, SMU and NGR (EMU being retired) Queensland Rail Next Generation Rollingstock ^ Queensland Rail IMU 100 ^ Queensland Rail SMU 200 ^ Queensland Rail EMU ^ Information: The entire network links together in the CBD of Brisbane where multiple stations connect every line on the network (Roma Street, Brisbane Central, Fortitude Valley and Bowen Hills) Pictures of various stations around the network: Banyo Station (Shorncliffe Line) ^ Brisbane Central (Hub Station) ^ Kippa-Ring Station (Redcliffe Peninsula Line) ^ Scenery on the route: Shorncliffe ^ Brisbane CBD ^ Ferny Grove ^ Conclusion: I think many people would love to see the newtork or even a few lines of the network be created for Train Sim World 2. The uniqueness of the trains, the stations and the scenery around the network makes me believe that should the route be created, it would be a hit!
You are certainly right about many people wanting Queensland Citytrain routes this is the 7th thread I'm adding to the Australian proposals list that highlights Queensland Citytrain in general or a route specifically. List found here: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/australian-proposal-suggestion-master-list.41526/
Yes, we need something Australian. I have my doubts we will ever get one unless a third party dev makes it, as its unlikely DTG would fly someone across the world to take pictures of trains... About your route: theres no way the whole network could be included, but individual lines eg the Gold Coast line show promise.
If I had the time, money, knowledge and patience I would totally start a game studio to make Australian trains for TSW.
I think they should make the Brisbane Airport line or the Ferny grove line, or both! This is because they are very popular lines and one of my favourite lines. Lets hope some 3rd party company makes a line for the thousands that want an Australian line.
If they managed to hire someone from Queensland to take all the information needed to build a DLC with at least one line maybe Shorncliffe/Cleveland as that would be a really fun immersive ride where you occasionally go under tunnels like central! If they brought 1 or 2 trains this would make me scream! I would pay anything to have a immersive QLDrail route.
Bring it on and for the Interurban trains the ones that were built around 2004 can also be modified to make a Mandurah Line Transperth B series. Only my mum used a Transperth B series from Wellard to Perth station
It sounds like the Queensland Rail CityTrain Network would be an excellent addition to the game, with its unique trains, stations, and scenery. It's great to see that there is interest and demand for such a route, and I'm sure that many Train Sim World players would love to explore the network and experience the challenges of driving trains on the Australian rail system. While I cannot guarantee that such a route will be added to Train Sim World, I think it's a great suggestion that the developers should consider. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and enthusiasm for the Queensland Rail CityTrain Network, and I hope that your wish for an Australian route in Train Sim World will be fulfilled in the future.
I will travel on doomben line and film it. maybe Redcliffe to Roma Street? Trains will be Smu 220 EMU and NGR maybe not smu 220.
