Hello. Today I will be suggesting the line from Dortmund to Bielefeld. I think it would be good for multiple reasons, mainly: - The line is LZB equipped nearly throughout and has a maximum speed of 200km/h - There are lots of opportunities for trains, specifically in the ICE department (maybe an ICE 1?) - It connects 3 fairly large German cities (Dortmund, Bielefeld, and Hamm) - There is a unique service pattern at Hamm(Westf) Hbf where an ICE train will split and one half will go via Dortmund and the other half will go via Hagen The line runs for roughly 100km and sees RB, RE, IC, and ICE passenger trains. There also might be some freight opportunities, but I personally don't really know what can be done there. I hope you like the idea and thank you for taking the time to hear me out!
You might need to consider layers like Hauptstrecke Rhein-Ruhr giving DB BR101 IC55 service. Freight RRO Main Spessart Bahn Ruhr Sieg Nord.
But you would need to get the ICE 2 or 4 for the split, because these are the trains which runs there in reality
What you're thinking of is Bochum to Bielfeld via Dortmund. That requires the rendering of Bochum Langendreer Junction
There are less ICE 1 on this route, more ICE 2 or 4 every hour from Düsseldorf to Berlin. And a lot of BR462 RE1 Aachen-Hamm, RE6 Köln/Bonn Airport-Minden, RE11 Düsseldorf-Hamm/Kassel
I’ll be honest, I wouldnt really look forward to this route due to the nature of the electric A - B that we’ve had for so long… I’d rather have a route with many branches similar to DRA. Great suggestion though
RE1 Aachen Hbf Hamm is playable on Schnellfahrstrecke Köln-Aachen and Hauptstrecke Rhein-Ruhr RE11 Hauptstrecke Rhein-Ruhr Duisburg Bochum. If made SKA and HRR get BR462
