I spawned in at 4 in the morning at London Victoria and discovered some trains were already there. Is this realistic or is it just because there isn't enough space in the depots in game

Lol People might have stuff to say Trains sometimes will berth overnight but bear in mind it’s a 24 hour timetable with some services continuing all through the night
Indeed, but the current setup of Train Sim World does not allow for services to continue through midnight. There is the Cinderella effect - every train needs to be at its original location come midnight. And yes, it is possible for trains to be stationed at platforms during the night. It's very common here in Czechia at smaller stations and I'm pretty sure it happens at major ones as well.
