Hi. Firstly I apologise if this is the stupidest question going but before I give up and waste anymore money can anyone just help with a query. So I have TSW on PlayStation. But now I wanted to try ECML London to Peterborough so have downloaded that route to my PC. All fine and downloaded via steam and have drove the class 365 on the scenarios that the route has. Now the bit that's thrown me and after various looks and Manuel's, guides and YouTube I'm stumped. I fancied the 317 and 365 enhancement from AP. I have them paid and download them but anytime I try run them it either crashes with error code or on quick drive I can get the 317 but no way I can move it. The 365 also has errors. Do I have to download ts2022 for anything to work other than the main download 365 I did for the basics? Having gone from knowing all things TSW2 I'm now a novice confused on pc. Any info or direction be fab. Thanks.
What kind of errors are you experiencing? You should already be running TS22 as previous versions update to the newer release (although you don't get the new routes).
On the normal load up of both the amstrong powerhouse class 317/365 I get….. message box Railworks. Exception code 0xC0000005. Out of memory Ram. Despite 8gb ram available. On the 64 bit load up. On the three class 317 AP diagrams 1 loads fine. Another fails and says Consist build. Can't load vehicle 91 Mk4 DVT X5 Another fails and says Consist build. Can't load vehicle 170 / 43 / Mk3 Do they have to all be downloaded to work the scenarios? I assumed if you didn't have them they just wouldn't appear. The three class 365 AP diagrams All have consist build errors for similar trains above.
For the second ones (consist builds) you can press F2 and then cancel and you can still run the scenario but without the other dependencies (extra stock). For the OOM errors, I'm not sure what to suggest. I do know that AP scenarios are quite heavy on assets and graphics. I've had a few crash with OOM but I just lowered my graphics settings in game and they ran fine.
There is a dodge in TS which lets you get around missing dependencies. When the scenario starts you get the menu screen saying "can't load etc..." and the options to either edit the scenario or exit it. The third option is to press F2 to save then cancel (well you could save but what would be the point?) at which point the scenario will carry on without the missing DLC. It's not fool proof of course- obviously if the scenario depends on you using stock that isn't there you'll come unstuck. More subtly if the scenario depends on another train doing something or there's a train in front of you missing its loco' you might find yourself waiting for something to happen that just isn't going to.
Ah that's done it! Thanks to you both for the quick replies. The 365 I can get the break off but can't budge the power handle up. That can wait till tomorrow, I'm done for one day. Cheers.
Not familiar with this unit but is there a master key? Manuals for most DLC can be found linked in their Store page and for those you own should also be in your Railworks folder.
If you are using the AP 365 check:- 1. Master Key (Shift+W), 2. AWS cancelled(Q Key), 3. DVD cancelled (E Key), 4. DRA off (Y Key) Hope that helps
