I am playing the new game, tried to do the college series Toledo bend first event and twice now I have gotten first place and the timer hit zero and nothing is happening. I thought it was because I wasn't in the correct area but on second attempt I am back where you start the event at 5 minutes left let timer run down and nothing

I press X in the starting area and it puts me in the fishing position. Please help! I have tried to complete a tournament four times now and have had the lead twice and not be able to properly end one.
