The Keithley Worth Valley Railway became popular in 1970 with the filming of the Railway Children. It was also used two years earlier in 1968 for the BBC adaptation. Filming has recently finished for the new film The Railway Children Return and will be released in the Spring of next year on April 1st. Wouldn’t it be fantastic if DTG released the KWVR to coincide with the release of the new film with the stock used, especially the old gentleman coach. With the imminent release of the film, DTG would make a world wide name for themselves by releasing a production of the route with a link to the Railway Children familiar points of interest. It would become an excellent choice with rail fans worthwhile wanting a touch of filming history. How about it DTG?
Cool idea. In which case, I would like to suggest the Nene Valley Railway. Used for filming James Bond films Goldeneye and Octopussy. Runs between Peterborough and Stibbington (probably further) and had a Thomas the Tank Engine run it at Christmas. Used by steam, heritage journeys and 'specials'
