Do we think the 31st or black Friday? Which ones will be in? (Hoping for cathcart at 18ish maybe £16?)
Looks like there's a Halloween sale live now on PSN Store, but it's just a selection of 'scary' themed games so no sign of any discounts for TSW.
That’s going to be expensive. All the British and German DLC that I want are in the sale. Just hope it won’t take me over 64gb
They're not trying to con you out of more money, they're offering you something cheaper. It's your choice whether to buy it or not. No con or scam here.
Clearly they haven't played it since the Rush Hour update. https://instantrimshot.com/index.php?sound=rimshot&play=true
If it is badly produced and doesn't work as intended, it isn't worth buying at ANY price. Next time you are in a supermarket look out for bargains like rotten apples going for half price. You can save money but will just end up binning them so you might as well keep your wonga and spend it on something else. Selling something under false pretences that is not fit for purpose is BOTH a con and a scam. For a legit company it is also a suicidal business model.
Yes, yes, we know the game has issues. This thread is about a PSN sale, the timing of which is not influenced by DTG, so can we keep it on topic and not make this yet another "everything sucks" thread. For anyone actually interested, the biggest discounts are: 60% off - LIRR, NTP, MSB 50% off - GWE, ECW, RT, RSN, WSR 35% off - Diesel Legends 30% off - Class 33 Then pretty much everything else is 20-25% off. The only things not discounted are the newest items: Rush Hour routes, 38 Stock and 187. https://store.playstation.com/en-gb/product/EP2866-PPSA03943_00-TRAINSIMWORLDPS5/
Anyone has sales advise or a sales guide for these discounts? I bought MSB but I guess the start of the journey is broken so I probably am not gonna play this route a lot but I have an extra bunch of loco's and rolling stock for my German routes so didn't waste any money there but which of these sales DLC is still worth purchasing if you wanna play mostly journeys. So preferably routes that don't have a broken journey. If the journey is broken it should at leat add a fair amount of loco's to my other routes. I already have all the Rush hour and base game routes CCL SEHS with add on loco LGV HMA HRR + 101 ECW + 313 MSB GWE
Honestly I feel like a lot of the sales are lower than the ones that they have done in the past for these routes/locos. Many of the older locos especially I know have been around 9.99 in the past 6 months. I think I am going to have to past on buying anything new just for that reason.
I am in heaven! I saw the sales and began to devise how to convince the wife to let me buy at least 3 (msb, gwe, wsr) that had the biggest discounts. I originally wanted 4 more (sehs, rro, dB br 204 & 155) but I thought that would be too greedy. I showed her the 7 but said I really wanted the 3. She told me to go ahead and get all 7. Woo-hoo! In return, she wants to about 12-14 manga books. Knock yourself out, dear!
Don’t give up too quickly on MSB. It is a very nice route in my opinion. A top DLC is RSN, there is a thread in the forum explaining why it is so fantastic.
Hi I think I read that if you buy Train Sim World 2020 (currently also on sale) you get some of the older DLCs for free in TSW2? Is that still true?
Yeah, you should get the routes bundled with it carried over to TSW2 - MSB, LIRR and NTP, plus Peninsula Corridor in the Deluxe Edition.
LIRR and PC both benefit from extra traffic variety with their respective DLC so I'd recommend getting those sooner rather than later if you're going down that route. Particularly on PC where all of the trains are quite different in appearance and operation; the main F40PH loco has manually lapped brakes whereas the Baby Bullet's are much simpler to operate, both have their own cab cars, and then you have the switcher and Union Pacific freight.
