I can spend hours and get great pleasure in shunting freight wagons and making up strange train consists and shunting them around the yard or between yards as you can to a limited degree on Oakfield Subdivision and as you used to be able to on New York NEC,
I'd like to see this option included in other freight based routes and maybe expanded ie:- Oakfield Subdivision to include more if not all of the route map.

It would not be feasible as it would muck up the dispatcher. Possibly things like this would be possible using scenario planner in the future, in places like Cumberland Yard. Until then, you have to stick to the service mode.

Thank you for responding, unfortunately I'm relatively new to Train Sim World and certainly unfamiliar with how these games are constructed so I'm not 100% sure what you're referring to but if you say it isn't feasible I'll take your word for it,
It's just that New York NEC, Oakfield Subdivision and Cumberland Yard were released with this free roam scenario included, it's just a shame it is confined to a small corner of the map,
I was hoping that maybe an expansion or update could be released that opens up more of this or failing that any future releases that feature freight working could include this feature so that you can basically do what you like in it. Thanks

Ohhh you’re on TSW 2020. It doesn’t have the feature I was talking about.

I wondered once while playing Sand Patch whether every loco available on the field could pull every car available on the field. A total free roam where silly questions like that could be answered if inclined would be cool to have.

Paintbrushguy, I actually have both tsw 2020 and tsw2 and I think I know what you're getting at but it takes a bit of pre setting up and you can't just do things off the cuff.

Calidor266, yes that's the kind of idea, even though it might not be 100% realistic and maybe a bit crazy,
Maybe for example on "Rush Hour" getting all the driveable stock on the BML and berthing it all in Selhurst Depot.
Crazy but possibly entertaining plus it gives the game far more scope besides the pre determined scenarios and gives the game more playable lifespan in my opinion.

This would mess up the dispatcher but it's going to be useful on big marshalling yards Germany and Switzerland a Rangierbahnhof in Austria ÖBB Verschiebebahnhof. For those countries Rbf Hagen Vorhalle Germany SBB Basel Muttenz & Wien Kledering

I just spawn trains in Cumberland terminal or in the main yard on the clinchfield railroad and go at it.
