Not going to tag, but Adam, would you be able to give us some insight into what formations we will see?
The standard CalTrain formations from the Peninsula Corridor route, I would assume. I doubt they would make new formations for this.
Hoping they are 10 car trains. 12 would be a bonus. 6 car trains only really became a thing on the lakeshore west line at the start of COVID, and since then the line has mostly recovered back to primarily 10 car trains.
I believe they are adding the rush hour passenger system along with the GO layer and PIS systems to the platforms. If implemented properly, there would be more than enough passenger density to allow for double header, 10-12 car trains. As this is a busy line in real life.
For F59s, sure! Those are pretty common, I think the first GO train to London even was one iirc. But for double headers with the MPXpresses, I’ve literally yet to see one IRL, and I do trainspot in the city a lot. I don’t really have an answer to that lol, it’s the big question here it seems, I kinda just wanted to bring the power issue into consideration.
That’s what the Mod Manager is for. You just enable/disable the mod as you like. I’ve been doing it for ages with various mods.
The frequent double headers are two MPI's, or MPI lead and F59 behind. Two F59's together is quite rare, in fact, that first London train was one of the first ones in a while if I recall correctly.
In my works with creating the SW1500, I noticed a particular problem that may not have been reported yet. The normal map of the CN GP38-2 locomotive is not working. This leaves the body of the loco looking absolutely flat without any details.
