Why hasn’t dovetail modeled hands into the cockpit of the train? Maybe it’s just me but I find it pretty immersive breaking to see train operators sitting down with their hands on their lap instead of using them to operate the train.
Like Gran Turismo with hands on the wheel? I reckon it would just make it harder to see and click on controls if there were arms in the way of your view. It's already quite fiddly sometimes to get to master keys and switches that are close to other controls.
They will appear if there comes a VR edition .... someday But I think the OP means the AI drivers should get animations
Well yeah, but also the player as well. This can be optional in settings and make the hands transparent with a button press (I’m not asking for every single action to be modeled just at the very basic have them on the master controller.)
I don’t see how complex having a hand move up and down on the throttle/brakes would be? If the player wants to switch a button on the desk when the player moves the camera and the hands are blocking the view it would just be transparent.
