Its great to have. The layers can be used to create anything especially if the limit was to be upped from 300.
Inconsistencies- Some stock work as intended. Available in scenario planner and appears as ai in service mode.
    However some don't.
JNA wagons, don't appear in service mode as ai, ever.
DLOGW stock- 101 dmu repaints only appear in service where the 52 and mk1/2s only in scenario.
A variety of the same locos and stock listed multiple times and only compatible with its resident route wagons. Please this cant continue!
ie I repaint an 08. I have 3 different 08s listed in the designer. Luckily I chose the correct one or else Id have been stuck with the wrong 08 and wrong wagons for what i wanted.
Please let us repaint the under side as well body work, ie wheels, bogies, buffer frames.
My last request would be that the process gets sped up. Livery designer functionality started (in public) a year ago for legacy content. Diesel Legends has used mk1's and 2's with livery function although extremely limited as can only work with 52 Yet no coaching stock upgrade for NTP. It sticks in the throat when a vehicle is sold on its livery function for a new route, when I already have said vehicle just not upgraded. Due to redeployment of a train artist or a decisions of a release department.

Moved this to suggestions. I will certainly make sure your requests are logged, however the 300 layer limit is currently the maximum amount we can allow before you would start to experience performance issues.

DTG Natster, I am running liveries with over 1400 layers (via mod) on a VERY modest PC, and they are not causing any performance issues other than slightly increased pregame load times.

A livery would never affect ingame performance, because the LD files are exported to the game engine as flattened JPEGs and use no more memory than any other skin.
