I have all green signals but about 2 miles before end point (Boody Main) my train crashes with oncoming train (AI). What should I do?
I just encountered the same problem. The AI also completely ignores the red signal it has (and does not even slow down at all after it has passed it or even when it should be able to see me (while I attempted to back up). No solutions?
I know I have finished this one with 1000 points. My brain wants to say check the points (switches) near the end because one of the Clinchfield scenarios routes you onto the wrong track near the end by default. If nobody else responds, I will try and replay this scenario over the weekend and see if it is the one.
I had time to try this one and it ran just fine. There were no unexpected routing issues and no crashes. There is a train at the beginning of the scenario that you have to wait for, but I don't think that is the one you are having trouble with. There is also an oncoming train CRR3011 (oddly the lead loco is running backwards) that is approaching on the other track when you leave the last area of single line before Brody. I intentionally stopped the train early to see if it would roll right through the Red signal and crash into me, but it stopped at the signals as expected. The scenario is not long, so try the scenario again from the beginning rather than from a Save File. Sometimes save files insert unexpected results into the run. I didn't check to see what might happen if you are excessively late arriving at Brody (i.e. maybe CRR3011 gets let into the single line track). Hope this helps your quest for a Gold Star
Is this the train near the end of the single track before you enter Brody? Or is it another train earlier in the scenario? As you near that switch, you leave a really curvy section of track and I'm surprised you would see the train and have enough time to stop let alone "try to backup". Just wanted to check that it is in the same place.
