    Hi, like to introduce myself.
Name's Pete, I live in Germany and been playing TS for 6 years / ~3000 hrs now.
What I like about it that it's kind of preserving routes from bygone eras, classic locos and gives you freedom to create your own content.
What I dislike and what has really driven me mad sometimes is that there is no constant level of quality. Some bugs I can fix myself, some not. And some will never be fixed.
But in the end it's love and hate. A bit more love than hate :).
I am always happy if I can be of any help.

    See you around!

Hello Pete. Yes, the bugs can be annoying at times.

I used to visit Germany every summer holidays for most of the 1980s, and marvelling at the standard of trains compared to back home.

Forget where it was, but there was a DB museum (think it was 150 years of German railways at time?) and I recall the massive model railway at the Science Museum in Munich.

Oh yes, but I'm not a fan of the new "plastic" trains. The E03 or later DB BR 103 was the absolute and unique queen of the rails, at its time with 7440 kW the world's most powerful electric loco, ruling the 70s and 80s, only 3 left in active service. Together with the E10/ DB BR110 a common sight in my childhood.

I've been out of touch so long, that I only just learned that DB has been updated from Deutsche Bundesbahn!

They got privatised in the 90s and things got worse. DB stood for Deutsche Bundesbahn before, now it stands for Deutsche Bahn AG.

And they changed the font of the DB logo from serif to sans-serif. Boring...

Back again, had to take a timeout - from forum activity, not from playing - 7,000 hours on record now in TSC. :)

New name, same game. My old name "torfmeister" was an invention of my brother two decades ago, a take on my name "Pete" which sounds like "peat" which is "Torf" in german. Also a reference to austrian DJ Richard Dorfmeister, but I don't feel this name fits me any more.

So, I'm the spikee one now, which is a reference to an early Underworld EP.
