Does anyone know if DOG will be working on making liveries available for everyone to chose one another's liveries for there trains? I know it's a stretch but I've been really hoping this would maybe come sometime
Not likely, mostly because of licensing issues. If it ever happens, at most it would permit fictional liveries, not RL ones.
This is not true. Take a look at the Forza horizon games, A company won’t sue DTG because one guy used their brand on a train and shared it
1) The Forza franchise has already licensed pretty much every car company, parts maker and race sponsor on the planet; and 2) nobody has the legal muscle to take Microsoft to court. DTG's approach is much more legally conservative, as evidenced by the fact that Nat will not do RL liveries in her LD streams. The little office in Chatham doesn't have more lawyers than the US Department of Justice on staff; M$ does.
Yes but you can still make other company logos though. Companies would not have the grounds to sue if someone made and shared a livery in a game It’s like if a building company sued LEGO because people were making houses that looked like their designs. That would be completely out of LEGOs control/Intent
