This poll is for the great western express route and is about the inevitable steam update for Tsw2. I have set up this poll becuase i want this to be considered for dovetails future plans for tsw2. Also if you have suggestions tell me and I'll add them But please have them highlighted Green or with green text so i know its a suggestion. By the way this poll also includes dieseil locomotives that would fit in the early 1960s becuase thats when both diseils and steam locomotives were seen together. Pss Route extensions are included and unlimited votes.
Why not have a completely new route instead of reusing GWE as a base? I'm sure that is within DTG's capability. Something like an early 1960's Exeter to Paignton/Plymouth route with a Castle Class, Pannier Tank and BR Class 52 layered on would be perfect. It might not even be GWR related either.
Voted for GWR 14xx & 57xx plus the milk train because they are designed for that purpose including the autocoach. For the community members that read Rev Awdry & son Christopher Audrey Thomas and friends there is a name for the GWR 14xx & 57xx it's Oliver and Duck. Toad is the brake van followed by the autocoaches there's four of them Isabel Ducie Alice & Mirabel. Fun part once you own Great Western Main Line steam you can just pop them into BML ECW NTP TVL Cornwall & SEHS North Kent & Chatham Main Line portions
Love to see Auto-Coaches and slip coaches. You have the 122 in the poll would not the 121 be a good fit? I'd love to see the GWE route as far as possible to Cardiff but I doubt that would happen. Bristol to Didcot would be good for steam as the route is flat and straight almost plus is fast but again doubt it will happen.
I need all of these excluding Reading-Westbury and Reading-Basingstoke extensions, only Reading-Oxford and Thames Valley branches are perfect. Also Diesel, not Dieseil.
Just so everyone who is on this thread knows I've added some more options. Unfortunitly it is no longer allowing me to change or add any more responses so i might have to group some of them like tank enguines together
