The Hammersmith & City Line runs between Hammersmith (no shock there) and Barking, passing through main line interchange stations such as London Paddington (uses those 2 platforms that nothing ever goes in on GWE), Kings Cross St Pancras, Farringdon, Moorgate, London Liverpool Street, Whitechapel and many, many more. Services currently run on a 6 train per hour frequency, and that's without including the Circle Line services as well as Metropolitan services which briefly share the line between Baker Street and London Liverpool Street. All the above lines are operated by S7 & S8 stock Proposed Rolling Stock S7 Bombardier Tube Stock (7 car instead of the 8 car S8) Operate services across all the tube lines that appear on this route Class 387/3 in c2c livery Operate some c2c services to Shoeburyness. More recently, they've been loaned out to GWR to help with the IET shortage so could also provide some mainline services out of Paddington Stock layering in from other routes Bakerloo: 72 stock for Marylebone to Baker Street (if included) GWE: Class 166 for some mainline services out of Paddington
Convince me why we need another tube line. Also, this might be too station dense and be in development for too long. I think you are getting a bit ambitious with the c2c trains too, they almost certainly won't appear.
Excellent idea and from what would be best for the route is selling it together with the Circle Line because if you look at the current tube map Hammersmith & City Line runs together with Circle Line from Hammersmith to Liverpool Street then Divert to Aldgate East
It's like saying why we need any other type of route. We could use another one because the BKL didn't reach its full potential. A SSL route has a different style to Deep Level routes(more open air areas, trains etc). And there is a lot of people who like the Underground. Although I agree with the c2c part. Kinda useless to have them on the route. Better separately. And it'd probably better with just the Circle line. Yes it has 36 stations (37 if you count paddington praed Street with paddington near the National Rail platforms) but it's only 17miles long. So it'd take around 4 months probably.
Someone wants to transfer from this route to Bakerloo Line & GWML London Paddington to reading should be a passageway to boot these routes. Everyone has Bakerloo Line and GWML is obtained by getting TSW 2020 then TSW2 to which you automatically get it for free as part of preserved collection.
True. The only way would be to connect the 2 underground route via the passageways that connect the Paddington Praed Street (Circle and District line platforms) to the BKL line
The Hammersmith & City runs along the C2C line for about 10 miles so there will almost definitely be one or 2 trains you see
