Hello everyone, I propose to you for next updates another line of London Underground, The Central Line. The Central line is a line of the London Underground, depending on the west of the London conurbation by two branches (one ending at West Ruislip and another at Ealing Broadway), in the north-east , with a branch (ending at Epping) and a loop. With 288 million annual passengers during the 2016-2017 cycle, it is the second busiest line in the network after the Northern line.Inaugurated in 1900, it is also the most extensive, with a length of 74 kilometers. The line is currently operated with 1992 Stock type trainsets.

    Services :

rush hour service is as follows:

9 trains per hour (tph) between West Ruislip and Epping
3 tph between Northolt and Loughton
9 tph between Ealing Broadway and Newbury Park
6 thphs that continue beyond Newbury Park in Hainaut
3 tph between White City and Hainault (via Newbury Park)
3 tph between Hainaut and Woodford
Totaling 24 trains per hour (one every 2 minutes and 30 seconds) between White City and Leytonstone.

A night service operating 24 hours a day on Friday and Saturday evenings between Ealing Broadway and Hainault via Newbury Park / Loughton since August 19, 2016.

    Rolling stock :

The Central Line is operated by the 1992 stock tube rolling stock. These trainsets were put into service in 1993.

Drive (manual for Train sim World 2) :
In Coded Manual mode, the ATO is disabled and the driver operates the train manually, however, the ATP is still detecting the codes in the track and restricting the driver's actions. The speedometer on 1992 stock is of the horizontal strip design showing two speeds: the Current Speed in green, indicating the speed at which the train is actually traveling, and the Target Speed indicating the speed at which the train should be traveling. Although the target speed is always active whilst running in Automatic or Coded Manual mode, in the latter mode a change in the target speed is indicated with an upwards or downwards tone depending on whether the target speed is increasing or decreasing. Should the driver exceed the target speed, an alarm sounds and the emergency brakes are automatically applied until the train is below the target speed; the alarm then stops.

In Restricted Manual mode, the train cannot exceed 18 km / h (11 mph) and the motors automatically cut out at 16 km / h (10 mph). The ATO and ATP are both disabled and the driver operates the train entirely by sight and according to the signals. This mode is used when there has been an ATP or signal failure, or in a depot where ATP is not used, e.g. West Ruislip and Hainault depots. On the main line, driving in ATO is the same for a train driver as driving through a section where signals have failed.

Your uploads aren't working. Use the "Upload a File" option to post them instead (you can edit your opening post to add them there).

They will have to be amazing to convince me we need another tube line! :)

Central Line has been put forward previously. Problem is ATO operation with 1992 stock doesn’t really offer much in the way of fun. Personally should go back the 1962 stock era and as a bonus throw in the Ongar branch.

Dovetail never, AFAIK, comment on the merit or otherwise of ideas in this section. The general consensus last time an ATO route was mentioned though was that it would leave very little for the player to do.

I would love to see another tube line and if they did do the central line, didn't the 38 stock run on there for a while?

46 miles with 49 stations is a bit too large I think, it would likely take too long to produce if you were to make the full route.

Also, what makes the route special and unique compared to other tube lines?

The Central line does provide a bit of a network to play with, as would the Northern line and there are not too many places alongside mainline rail - Ealing Broadway and Stratford being the main places.

Personally I would like to see the Northern Line in the 70's though your Central Line as suggested by your good self is a close second.

I thought the central line would be good as it could use the 1938 stock as well but then it featured on the Northern line too. But would they use the 1938 on the Northern given that it has Moorgate on there?

True. But you have to put in mind the 20 mile (approx) section of tunnel between Shepherds Bush and Mile End. And the 3 or 4 underground stations on the Hainult loop. So since its tunnel it should take less time

Really excellent idea and what's going to happen during the rush hour is that you will be stuck behind another train then go another train right behind you. ATO system is of the pulse type

It's clear, I stumbled upon these videos at random and I liked the stuck trains and the very high passenger traffic

ATO isn't going to be much fun Open Doors, Close Doors, Press Start - repeat - The Central does have some manual running evenings and weekends on the outer sections but Leytonstone to IIRC North Action is always ATO.

Entirely ATO routes for TS Classic generally haven't gone down well. The Central is an interesting line in terms of history and busyness but not a good one from a gameplay perspective. The 62 stock era could be interesting, but they are very similar in appearance to the 38 stock (they are different trains, but the 59/62 stocks used an aluminium version of the 38 stock shell.)

I didn't think about it, but it would have been a good idea to put on the rolling stock from before. The circle Line I proposed with the stock C69. I offered the 92 stock because I like this material, its space, the sound also

Drivers are actually encouraged to drive with ATO off , at the start of a service it could be disabled then the player could enable it

Here are some videos of the Central Line inspiring you its environment, the rolling stock, rolling stock audio, rush hour and the frequency between the train. Good viewing :)

Can't work out why DTG won't do another Tube route. I would assume all the people who enjoy Bakerloo would love another route. If I'm being biased I'd love to see the District line, Edgware Road - Wimbledon but I'd settle for the Central Line, they could even use the 38 stock if they set it in the right era, that would bring back a few memories.

let's hope that in 2022 they will do us a favor by giving us another London Underground line. I was also thinking of the circle Line with the stock C69

I expect a lot of the TSW 2 community, including myself, would like another Tube route. However, I personally think this only should be done if DTG can create it with a full timetable as per real life.

Id prefer we get a SSL instead of deep tube. Like something like the Circle line or the H&C.

I agree and am for other metro lines but with more trains on the other hand not like the bakerloo line sometimes we have 30 minutes of waiting in stations before the next train and the rest are parked in the tracks garage

I had proposed the Circle Line with the C69 stock and the S7 Stock. And furthermore in this suggestion I talked about adding the District Line and Hammersmith and city Line in the sections shared with the Circle Line knowing that they have the same rolling stock as the S7 Stock. You can go see and give your opinion

Still don't think this is wise - large chunk is under ATO (Manual driving is only really done on the outer sections during evenings and weekends) and high frequencies which TSW doesn't yet seem to do,

Of course I can hear it well, that's why I specified only in manual driving just like the outer part of the line and if necessary, do the classic signaling. I think it wouldn't be an impossible thing to do

ATO ATO ATO... Simple solution, do not include it. Why does the route have to be set in the modern-day by default as if there is some kind of allergy to the past? As some have already explained, the 38 Stock ran on the Central Line, as did the 1900 stock, 1903 Stock, Standard Stock, 35 Stock, 59 Stock, and 62 Stock. If it had to be modern-day, then DTG can take advantage of TSW2 being a game, and simply not have any ATO on the S Stock.

I agree. Anyway I never mentioned having ATO for the central line or even the other suggestion of the circle line. Then I proposed the 1992 stock because I like this material and they can do this line very well without the ATO system.

Could also be possible for the Greenford branch to be included, as well as maybe a reskinned 166 for the Chiltern section between South and West Ruislip

I take the liberty of offering you as a bonus The Greenford branch which connects with the Central Line.

The Greenford Branch is a 2 mile 40 chain (4.0 km) Network Rail commuter rail line west of London, England. It stretches north from a triangular junction with the Great Western Main Line west of West Ealing to a central bay platform at Greenford Station, where there is interchange multiplatforms to the central line of the London Underground. A triangular junction near Greenford connects to the Acton-Northolt line (formerly the New North Main Line). The line mainly serves the suburbs of Ealing and Greenford.

All services are operated with two-car Class 165 Turbo diesel trains. There is no Sunday service.

I like the idea of the Greenford branch but I think that it would work better with a Chiltern Line DLC which would allow the Ghost Train service to West Ealing which is a once a day Chiltern service to High Wycombe.

Thank you for your positive feedback! I was thinking of this branch because as the central line will be I think a hell of a lot of work so another shorter line would have been a bonus like for the london switch with the class 375 and 465. but I note your interesting suggestion and count the proposed soon. Thank you again for this valuable information
