It's been that way for me since I changed to Series X. But I just found a couple of ways to get around the issue. Try starting some other service and switching to immersive. Abort and start the service you want. Switch back to classic after you have finished. Also, if you are already in immersive and start a service, you can sometimes switch to classic even though they say that immersive is required. In classic mode it's easy to switch camera views of course. Finally, you can use a keyboard to switch views if you have one.
