Nice to see the SD70 as a usable (albeit not quite realistic) option on SPG if you own Sherman Hill. This service even backs it up with an AC4400... (Note: a user over on TSC has already posted a CSX repaint for the SD70.)
They do work and all DTG needs to do is reskin the UP SD70 into CSX paint turning those into a 4500-4700s SD70 CSX.
That's an SD70MAC which is quite different to an SD70ACe first gen (which is what you have on Sherman)
I mean DTG could make CSX SD70ACe, but CSX only owned a total of 20 of them, and sold them to PLRX in 2017. They were not a big fan of them. Someone gave PLRX 4834 a nice C&O patch job though.....
Well with Dash-8s being on SPG that shouldn't be a problem, right? The route is set somewhere around that time.
I'd consider how little of them they owned more of a deterrent to make them, especially when compared to CSX's other mainline power. -AC4400CW (615) -AC6000CW (117) -C40-8W (375) -ES44DC/ES40DC (302) -ES44AH (550) -ET44AH (225) -SD70M (25) -SD70MAC (220) -SD80MAC (13) -SD70ACe (20) -SD70ACe-T4 (10)
That's for sure, but Aces are made and converting them to CSX would take significantly less work than making MACs (which I hope will come in the future, don't think otherwise). But variety is what helps. HSC GEVOs should definitely see reskins to UP and CSX too
True but Norfolk Southern orders their GEVOs with headlights above the windshield whereas other class 1 railroads have theirs on the nose.
SD70ACE T4s are the 8900s CSX UP Sherman Hill and Cane Creek those are 3000-3087. 3012 is at Cajon Pass 2017 service Entry
