Pack 1 idea EMD DDA40X - The EMD DDA40X is a 6600 hp (4943 kW) D-D locomotive, built from 1969 to 1971 exclusively for the Union Pacific Railroad.[1] It is the most powerful diesel-electric locomotive model ever built on a single frame, having two 16-645E3A diesel prime movers.[2] Union Pacific has marked DD40X on the cab exteriors, while EMD literature inconsistently refers to this model as either DD-40X or DDA40X EMD DD35 & DD35A The EMD DD35 was a 5,000 horsepower (3,700 kW) diesel-electric locomotive of D-D wheel arrangement built by General Motors Electro-Motive Division for the Union Pacific Railroad and Southern Pacific Railroad. The EMD DD35A, also known as the EMD DDA35, was a 5,000 hp (3,730 kW) diesel-electric locomotive of D-D wheel arrangement built by General Motors Electro-Motive Division exclusively for the Union Pacific Railroad. They were a cab-equipped variant of the previous, cabless booster (B unit) EMD DD35 Ge U50 - The GE U50 was an eight-axle, 5,000 hp (3,700 kW) diesel-electric locomotive built by GE Rail. They were twin-engined locomotives, combining two 2,500 hp (1,900 kW) diesel engines. GE U50C - The GE U50C was a 5,000 hp (3,700 kW) diesel-electric locomotive built by GE Transportation Systems. Each was powered by two 2,500 hp (1,860 kW) diesel engines SD45 - The SD45 is a six-axle diesel-electric locomotive built by General Motors Electro-Motive Division between 1965 and 1971. It has an EMD 645E3 twenty-cylinder engine generating 3,600 hp (2,680 kW) on the same frame as the SD38, SD39, SD40, and SDP40 Pack 2 idea Gas turbine-electric locomotives - The Union Pacific GTELs were a series of gas turbine-electric locomotives built by Alco-GE and General Electric between 1952-1961 and operated by Union Pacific from 1952 to 1970. I would like to see all 3 generations in-game Union Pacific Big Boy - The Union Pacific Big Boy is a type of simple articulated 4-8-8-4 steam locomotive manufactured by the American Locomotive Company (ALCO) between 1941 and 1944 and operated by the Union Pacific Railroad in revenue service until 1962. Union Pacific Challengers - The Union Pacific Challengers are a type of simple articulated 4-6-6-4 steam locomotive built by American Locomotive Company (ALCO) from 1936 to 1944 and operated by the Union Pacific Railroad until the late 1950s If these were implemented into loco packs I would also like to see each loco pack get its own timetable.
Having these engine in-game is quite interesting. But for me, i prefer more option on today's UP's work horses, such as ES44AC, SD70M, C44-9W, or perhaps the remaining survivors of SD9043MAC. But let's hope at some point DTG decide to add more engine option for this magnificent route addon.
I’m all for it it’s very cool locomotives especially the SD45 to me I love the look of it and who could forget about the Big Boy
Pack 2 because all of the locomotives are existing unlike Pack 1 to which the DD35 & U50C locomotives were scrapped
