Since the Rush Hour update the Ge 4/4 II accelerates from 0 to 7km/h in a matter of milliseconds, like it's being catapulted of the deck of an aircraft carrier. Pretty sure it wasn't accelerating this ridiculously fast before the update. Happens any time you start moving the train from a standstill.
Amendment to my previous statement. It DOES happen! I tried messing around at Arosa and had no issue, I then tried messing around in Chur, where the trains are stabled, and nothig happened. I wrote the previous message and figured that since I'm here, I might as well do the whole run. As soon as I left Chur afer boarding, the train leaped forward. It happens in both directions. Video coming soon...
Here's the video: My expectations were low, but WTF! Still no fix for the timetable, but in the meantime they made it undrivable. Probably something that has to do with the buffer physics, why they are still denying. TrainSim-Matt TrainSim-Adam
Also experiencing this explosive acceleration on PC. Recommend sharing this issue on the Rivet support forum and raising a support ticket if you haven't already.
I raised a ticket to DTG support. Rivet will just say it's supposed to do that, I won't bother posting on their forum. DTG will have to fix it, just like they had to fix the brakes because Rivet Games was claiming there were no issues...
It’s the same on PS5. I think I stopped the violent jerk from happening by allowing a longer time for the brakes to release before applying power but haven’t tested that fully, and that wouldn’t work for an uphill start. I never had to do that in the past though, so only a workaround for now if it helps.
Having said I hadn't noticed the issue occurring before. I tried a timetable service rather than scenario. My god, the driver would have concussion with that lurch. At one station starting up got me to 30kph right of the gate. What on earth could have changed because there sure is nothing like it on any other routes. Was there some update that wasn't mentioned in the release notes?
Same on PS4, however since it happened randomly, i did some testing. A walk around would require this procedure: Stop train with train brake, Brake power as required Fully apply Loco brake, 100% Passenger on/off Release train brake Apply power 0.5 Release loco brake Tried this several times, and have seen "normal" behavior. Can somebody confirm.
Jasper_Rivet - Between this and the timetable, Arosa is the one route I don't like driving. I wish I'd spent the money on a takeaway, as it would have given me more satisfaction. The lack of fixes and customer care from Rivet is very disappointing.
Have had exactly the same experience on Xbox series S. Thought it was just me over accelerating but it doesn't matter whether you have one notch or 5 notches on the power it accelerates like an F1 car on launch control
I can confirm the issue. Not sure if it is Rush Hour related, but it is very hard now to couple to wagons.
Same problem here on PC. It's only started happening since the 4.26 update, Was fine before. In my opinion there is absolutely no point adding a gameplay pack when the single loco is still broken, so hopefully a fix comes as well. I really want to play the fixed timetable.
I’ve not heard anyone official mention it anywhere but surely now that it has been reported, and work is being done on Arosa to fix the timetable they must look at this issue and get it fixed.
